  1. I have lived in Peru for about 4 1/2 years, full time, with only 1 week to 10 days visits to the USA. During my time in Peru, my fiance and I managed to get pregnant and we now have a beautiful baby boy, Today he's 8 months!

Also, got the news by email that my Dad will not do the I-134 simply because if my fiance gets hurt and goes to the hospital, with having no insurance, the hospital has legal right to sue my dad for her medical treatment.

I can not alone be the sole sponsor simply because I have had no Income for the past 5 years. Basically my fiance supports me and I take care of my son.

So now what do I do, in the event it is not possible to find another co-sponsor? is there a waiver? What about the fact that we do not intend on living in the USA full time right now??? We have 4 stores in peru and the income is 10X's more than I would make in the USA... sounds crazy, but its true.

Anyway, I'm a bit heart broken at this point, and need someone to help guide me in the right direction. I cant see staying full time in Peru much past the new year coming. I have put in my fair time in Peru, and now I am deeply concerned about my son. I need to be with him, and obviously my son needs his mom.

  2. Well, I an 30 and have been in Peru for 4 years now. We had a baby boy in June. Here is what I can say. From 3 different attorneys, two say get married in the USA after the baby is born. Thats what we're gonna do. We could have gotten married in Peru before the baby, but we decided to get our Sons natural Citizen Papers from the embassy, then start the I-129F process.

I am new to the I-129F, so this is why i had turned to this forum. From what I can see, from the day you mail your I-129F, she will be in the USA within 8 months. Not too bad.

While she is waiting for her visa, I am taking my son to the USA for 2 weeks to visit his American Grandparents for the first time, then returning to peru with my son, and flying back to the USA to start the waiting game. I will stay in the usa until I have my NOA2, then come back to peru and wait out the remaining 4-5 months for her embassy interview.
