My fiance is planning to have her medical exam for K1 visa very soon. As I understand it, they will take her passport after the medical exam and forward it to the US embassy. Is it possible for her to keep her passport after the medical exam at St Luke's Medical Center? We are planning to travel out of the country for vacation after her medical exam and come back before her scheduled interview at the US embassy.

Hello everyone,
My fiance is planning to have her medical exam for K1 visa very soon. As I understand it, they will take her passport after the medical exam and forward it to the US embassy. Is it possible for her to keep her passport after the medical exam at St Luke's Medical Center? We are planning to travel out of the country for vacation after her medical exam and come back before her scheduled interview at the US embassy.
