  1. So I've read suggestions about a thread like this getting started.. Usually threads I start die horrible deaths, I hope that's not the case with this one, because those of us going through the consulate at Casablanca need support from each other, and to hear some positive stories. I'm hoping we get some GOOD news in this thread.

We're waiting right now for Casa to send us a packet 3. They've had our file since the 31 May. I called them last week and was told they haven't scheduled an interview for him yet.

I know there are a few interviews coming up in the next two weeks for VJ people at Casa. We're praying for everyone who goes through Casa that things go well and the tide turns there.. Please let us all know what's going on so we can compare notes..

    Thanks ^_^

I am whole-heartedly supporting this thread! We are waiting for our packet 3 as well. NOA2 came on May 17th, but nothing since. According to the consulate they had not received our file as of last June 5th, but I know it left the NVC on June 1st. Hopefully we will see something this week and all will go smooth. It is so nerve-wracking. I am hoping we all see an upswing of approvals out of Casa B-)

  2. It was heart warming to get the different view point and thanks everyone for your valuable contributions. I will weather it out and see how it goes. I was concerned that since my case hasn't be touched since the initial review/check cash, something might be wrong. Atleast by now I should have seen one or two more touches. Also checkong all february filers, only very few have not been approved. Those still waiting have been touched several times. My thinking was if I set up a Congressional Inquiry, the file might be sorted out and placed in queue again if it is falling out of it based on what I read in this interview:

    Thanks everyone

I definitely would not panic just yet. You seem to be right within the normal timeline for the VSC still. I got my NA01 on Jan. 22nd, and just got the NA02 last week. We had 0 touches until we were approved. Don't worry. Sometimes no touches is a good thing...sometimes a touch just leads to an RFE. I would give it another few weeks before you panic. Good Luck!

  3. I'm still a sucker for bastilla... I know it's cliche, but I'd walk a mile for one! ^_^ It's a meat pie with chicken that's cooked in oil with onions and spices, then chilled to a paste and mixed with sugar and cinnamon, and baked into a flake pastry crust, then the outside is decorated with either powdered sugar and cinnamon, or sliced roasted almonds..

This one was from our engagement party:

And this one is from a Moroccan restaurant near Washington DC (honestly, it tastes better than the ones I've had here.. they have an amazing chef):

I am definitely a fan of the bastilla too...but I prefer the seafood one. Sooooo good. I am salivating just thinking about it.

  4. With all the expenses surrounding the visa and the AOS yet to come, we are thinking either a quick civil ceremony here or a quick trip to Vegas. Later we will do a big wedding with the families, but the timeing and expense is a bit much....plus, just not knowing how long things will take. Either way, the important thing is we will be together :D

  5. I have to admit I am right there with you....I am only at the NA01 stage waiting for the NA02, but sometimes reading the stories on here scare me to death. Though I do find hope in the successes as well. It just seems that the embassy in Casa can go either way on any given day...If you are unprepared, if you are too organized, if you are wearing the wrong color shirt..... I am just going to hope and pray for the best. We will make it work somehow. Hang in there and keep us posted, best of luck for a very successful interview!
