  1. Ahhh, thanks for the greeting. Yes, we will have to decide on something else.
  2. Yes, thank you. I was kind of thinking the same way. I knew we would have to get luggage and recheck after immigration. Another option would possibly a one-way rental car. We still have to get through the interview on Wednesday though. Hopefully that all goes well. Leaving Sacramento to come to the Philippines, my flight got cancelled after a 1.5-2 hour delay for a mechanical issue. They sent several of us to SF by taxi.
  3. Actually no, but this will be the first time for my wife and step-son which are joining me in Sacramento. I just came to the Philippines to help her through.
  4. This would be for my Filipino wife, Step-son and myself immigrating to the US.
  5. How long would be enough time to get through Immigration in San Francisco coming from the Philippines? I'm seeing a connecting flight with a 1hr55min layover in San Francisco, then flying to Sacramento.
  6. Thanks for your response. I've heard of at least 1 case where they held the Green card until the covid vaccine was taken, since not available in the US.
  7. The problem with having to get this in the US is having to get the dangerous mRNA vaccines. My step-son has only had the 1st vaccine (not mRNA) and then, no more were available in the Philippines.
  8. 1 in 10 or 1 in 17 is not true, according to my wife, who just failed X-ray along with about 80% of the others. She said there were 3-400 also there for the start of her sputum tests.
  9. My wife took all of the precautions, including an X-ray 1 month prior, which she passed, she took vitamins, exercised, milk x 1 week and other meds. Went to medical, got flagged for sputum, along with about 80% of the others, she said. had to go back 2 weeks later for the 4 days, including the day off for holiday and just finished today. She now has to wait until July 1st to go back, if nothing shows up negatively. Then she has about 1.5 months after that date to get in the US, along with her son.
  10. Her son had passed the original medical, but we canceled both and will try to reschedule in about a month and a half as it gets closer, if all goes well.
  11. My wife failed the X-rays too, then got scheduled 2 weeks later for sputum, which finished today. They gave her a July 1st date to come back for results and immunizations, if not contacted earlier. She said about 80% of people 2 weeks earlier were flagged for sputum, it seemed. Also, instead of giving the full 6 months to enter the US after 1st day of medical was only given a little over 4 months to enter.
  12. Step-son only had 1st vaccine, but passed medical because 2nd vaccine was unavailable. His Visa interview is May 8. Wife failed X-ray, even though it looked clear and she had gotten a clear X-ray through private Dr. 1 month earlier.
  13. Ir-2 passed medical at St.Lukes, Ir-1 (wife) failed X-ray, which really blows. Wife is down. Do we still proceed with son's interview or delay for wife, having to wait 2 weeks for sputum, then 2+ months for results, then trying to schedule IV appointment? Also, I'm thinking about moving out of California since we were already planning to get out of my birthplace state, which I can't deal with the politics anymore. Is it difficult to get the Visa's moved to a new address during this time, after submitting everything, not to miss in the mail? Thanks for any advice.
  14. For Ir-1, Ir-2, does anyone now know which covid vaccines are required to get through Slecs for medicals? Wife has had 1st 2 Sinovac vaccines over a year ago. Also, 14 yo has only had 1st vaccine and no more have been available for kids since his 1st about 6 months ago or so. Was told before that if not available, could possibly get a waiver is what I think I read for USCIS. Also, if not mandatory, we would prefer not to have any boosters for wife, if not required. Hoping someone has up-to-date inform on the current details. Thanks
