  1. OK I have a question, we are preparing everything for when packet 3 gets here so it is a fast turnaround back to the embassy. The visa fee we pay at Australia Post I know has to be in cash or bank cheque, they told me that when I was sending a parcel to Eric the other day...but what I am wondering do I pay it twice for myself & my daughter or is she covered on mine? I only ask because Eric is wanting to send one huge payment through paypal to cover our medicals & the visa fee.

  2. When I started this thread on 12/04/09 I was a little stressed at first but as our team developed with such positive and educated posters such as.....

Mapt. Reddstars, Mark and Carol, just to name a few we have turned this into the best Forum for the second half of 2009. A and J stated that the Dec.VSC forum has kept them positive .......and Jared and May injected that poem to my Team Cap't ...... Mapt..

It's like a tight group here that sticks together and don't sling mud at VSC or each other....

Keep it up people.!! This is why we are here.. Not to act childish.. But to act mature and positive.. This will get us through the next 2 months or hopefully before for the day we get our NOA-2's.......

I love popping into this thread & reading how the VSC K1's are going...the positive attitudes make it much better. I have seen some of the other threads descend into back biting etc over a process that none of us have control over...sure we could all get angry at others jumping ahead in approval but what does it achieve in the long run? Not a darn thing!

So hold your heads high Dec VSC you guys are awesome!

  3. Lol yep smashed my little toe on my left foot and was horribly, blisteringly sunburned. Looked like a fool for sure!! Pretty much a lot of stuff is organised, tomorrow we are doing set up at the venue and all that good stuff. Praying the rain holds off and it's a pretty day!

Sending much love & prayers for a gorgeous wedding day for you both! Just remember to breathe and relish in the special day.

Neil got his interview date.........March 9 8:00 am!! Woohoo!!!!!!

WOOT! Cant wait to hear the positive outcome!

Still waiting -- impatiently for NOA2 lmao

  4. Thanks Kaffy! Oh it will come around very quickly, I think I will have everything that I can possibly have ready, put together before I board that plane to LA lol. All we will need is signtures, dates and our evidence :). It really is an exciting journey isn't it. Call me crazy, but I'm actually looking at the whole thing as a fun, positive challenge!

Bacon that's great news ... I hope it's all super fast from now on :)

That is a great way to view it Jamie...because as it stands at present I am anxiously waiting for NOA2 and as much as I am busy running back & forth to Westmead Childrens 3 days of the week I am longing for the day when that beautiful piece of email arrives lol

  5. I hope all of you had a great Valentines Day. We choose to basically ignore the day until we are together. I have been kept very busy with my son's health issues. He is not immigrating to the USA with my daughter & myself but his health issues have taken up a great deal of time and will do so until I fly out of Australia. The bonus is it passes the days quickly & saves me from refreshing the USCIS or Igor's list pages a million times a day LOL.

We can all only hope that over at CSC they keep looking at the December pile & decide to stop making us wait...can you tell I am impatient? lol

  6. HI All-

I have not posted to this topic before but I got my approval...Petition was approved 02/12/10. Received text and email today from Vermont Service Center..At least the text alert does work!!! Quite schocked when I got the text and email this morning..

I did not expect to get approved so soon and was resigned to the fact that itwould probably take at least 4 months..

I am excited but not prepared..

Good luck to everyone and I hope everyone in December starts getting approved and November filers.

    HUGE Congrats!

I am a December filer through CSC & was just poking my head in. The upbeat attitude you guys all have is inspiring to say the least. Here is hoping the VSC & CSC get things moving so we can all be with our loved ones Stateside

  7. We have jumped up to #154 on Igor's today...talk about making my day! In the last week we have jumped almost 20 spots so I am kinda ecstatic that it is all moving so quickly now. I have a few things to finish getting done prior to the petition hitting the Sydney Consulate. I want to print out all the forms required for package 3 & get them sorted so when that package arrives I can literally send it back stating I am ready for interview.

    Bring on December's NOA2's!

  8. Okay, anything more to go on thatn Dr. Miller. I got about five different doctors named Dr. Miller when I did a google search.

I apologize for not replying sooner today but today was dialysis day for my son & I have just walked in & seen this. The doctor's name is Dr Anthony Miller. Thanks Vanessa for posting the link.

I am now off to unwind after a very long day at the hospital.

  9. Terri, who are you going through in Sydney? My guy has to get his blood test done to determine the vaccines he's had and then he needs to get his medical done. But we need someone who doesn't have that long of a wait time so he can try to get in soon.

I have chosen to go through Dr Miller. If your guy rings the lady there is extremely helpful and will tell him exactly what he needs to ask for in regards to the Immunisations. In NSW the blood test to check your immunity is charged to Medicare..another bonus from other states from I have read.

  10. That is great news Terri! I'm very happy that things are going really smootly for you  What a great birthday present huh!!

It would be the perfect birthday gift! At least this portion of life is sailing smoothly...my sons health has been horrendous over this last 3 weeks...4 lots of major surgery & another to go next month...but he keeps proving time & time again that he is my hero the way he handles himself throughout it all. Nobody can wipe that smile from his face despite the pain he is in a lot of the time.

  11. LOL Trish that gave me a giggle.

I rang the doctor in Sydney about my medical & the lady was very helpful. She told me exactly what to ask the doctor to request for my blood test. So today I went to get the blood test done & was given the swine flu vaccine at the same time. The doctor in Sydney I am choosing to go through has a very short wait time. The lady said that I can get my medical done prior to the petition BUT she recommends waiting until it is on it's way to the NVC.

Eric is adding the final touches to the I134 and then he is sending everything to me next week...so we are moving along nicely and the timelines have come back with adjudication between March 2- March 12...hopefully it means I will be there with my man for my birthday in April :)

  12. Still waiting, waiting waiting....I have moved back into my parents place to save some money on rent for the house I was in here in Sydney. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary yesterday -- would have been nice to be together for that but web cam will do for now.

I checked Igor's not long ago & we have moved up 6 places since I last looked...gotta love that!!!

Cmon CSC you know you want to approve our December petitions so we can all be with our loved ones.

  13. How is your boy doing??

Sorry for the late reply Jamie -- He is doing ok. He had another round of surgery today WHILE I was moving house. I had been telling the doctors all week that today was the one day I could not be there as I had removalists books..so they did his surgery...far from impressed!! They put in a perma cath (catheter into his chest just above his heart) for his Dialysis treatment...they also put a gastrostomy in so he can have tube feeds to gain some weight....he has lost 6 kilos in the last 2 weeks and is literally a skeleton wrapped in skin. This afternoon he was in a great deal of agony but when I left him 90 minutes ago he was resting happily about to log into livewire (a website for kids with ongoing illnesses)

I am about to go curl up & chat with Eric before I crash out from total exhaustion!

  14. Any NOA2 news today Terri?

Hope you're all having a good weekend :)

No news today Jamie -- though we moved on Igor's List and the K1 timeline shifted a little..so fingers crossed it keeps moving smoothly forward.

I am taking a breaking from packing at present..I have managed to clear 2 rooms today -- only the rest of the house to go LOL.

Glad you have settled in Natalie -- must be an amazing city to explore too.
