  1. Sorry to hear other December Filers are still waiting for NOA2 :(

Eric received the hard copy of the NOA2 yesterday -- so now we are waiting for the NVC to receive the packet before sending it to Sydney. I have already gotten everything I need for Packet 3 ready to go so when they email me P3 I can get it straight back to them the same day..we are still praying for an early to mid April interview and reunion.

  2. Yes we too are trying not to guess why approval seems slow for us when so many Dec and even Jan petitions have gone through already.

Let's keep hoping something will shake out next week!

I am sure your approval is not far away -- I know all too well how hard it is to sit & wait and watch other filers getting their approvals while you sit in hellish limbo....but have faith & trust that your turn is right around the corner

  3. Congrats Terri and Eric. Now hopefully for you the Sydney consulate is way faster at allocating interviews than London is! I guess there's just too many people for London to see, lol.

Fingers crossed that you get to the US for April like you wanted x

I'm aiming for June now but that's looking doubtful :(

    Thanks Emma *hugs*

From all I hear Sydney is quite fast at allocation of interview..so here is crossing everything possible for a fast turn around.

I really hope London get you in for interview sooner rather then later :)

  4. I received P3 about 2 weeks from NOA2 notification. THEN as soon as I sent off P3 I got the interview for 3 weeks later.

The reason I sent P3 late was because I was waiting for med results, police check and info for the I-134.

Lets assume 2 weeks for P3 for you, so month and a half from now till interview so... POSSIBLE... but unless you have tickets already, buying tickets on such late notice will be $$$. I'm honestly thinking best wishes for you but don't get too excited at the idea.. it'll be very close. Just tell him you're giving him 2 extra weeks to think of a good bday pressie :D

Well I have the police check & medical all here in the folder and the package containing the I134 & other assorted bits are also here...so a fast turn around for P3 to get back to them. We know buying the tickets at the last minute will cost $$..we have allocated 3k for flights for Bek & I....as for birthday present...his arms around me is all I am wanting

We also need to start thinking about the wedding stuff..we have set the date for June 5th...so time to get cracking on that too

  5. Sooooooooooooooo happy for you!!

You all set for P3? It's pretty quick from here. YAY!

Thanks everyone

I am printing the last of the forms this weekend. Got home to my medical report sitting on the sofa so now it is assembling the interview folder, printing off all remaining evidence etc. We are both ecstatic and hopeful that I will be there by April 18 (my birthday)....Does anyone think that will be feasible?? I mean how long does it take to get to the embassy from this part??

  6. You are almost there!!! I'm sure it's your NOA2! Now just stop obsessively checking it and go make a pot of tea or something, just to come back to a notification of approval :)

LOL I am trying to not obsessively refresh the screen and spending 3 days a week at the hospital with my son keeps me busy but when I am home...my poor refresh key is looking a little ragged!!

Time to go make coffee...I need another as my eyes just do not want to wake up this morning.

  7. Neil went in for his interview on Tuesday morning Sydney time. Said he got there at 7:40 am and there were about 20 people already there.....including people with 9 am and 10 am appointments!! He was pretty pissed off because even tho he had an 8 am appointment they let the 9 and 10 o'clocks up before the 8 am's.

He ended up waiting about 1 hour 45 minutes and then had all of 5 minutes for his interview. We're approved!!! WOOHOO!!!!

    GRATS!!

  8. Terri and Eric on top of the December list without a RFE.

Let's all say a prayer and keep or fingers crossed for and Approval this week, Heck why not even today.

    Hang in there girl

Thanks Robert -- we are praying that it will be this week....I have had my medical done here in Sydney yesterday so now I just need to make sure all my forms are in order that I need to return to the Embassy declaring I am ready for interview...so come on CSC please play nice & leave the January filers alone for at least a day so December can be finished off :)

  9. She needs to get a Statutory Declaration signed and witnessed by a JP or Notary, stating "I hereby give permission for (your fiancee's full name) to take my children (childrens full names) to immigrate permanently in the United States Of America."

The Father will also need to provide a photocopy of photographic ID, that shows his address, which must be witnessed also by a JP or Notary.

LOL Jaime you beat me to it...I just was getting ready to reply after seeing the OP...saw your response & smiled :)

Matt -- there is a wealth of AUSSIE based info in the linked thread below -- it will help immensely.

  10. Well hi everyone -- today I went for my medical with Dr Anthony Millar in Sydney. Let me just say it was the most pleasant experience thus far. His receptionist, a lovely woman named Pat, was extremely helpful and a wealth of information. She had everything ready to go when we arrived. You will need 3 passport photos for the medical. Under the MLC Centre there is a Kodak store, they do them ($18 each set of 2 photos) in a 20 minute window. I also paid the extra $3 to have them emailed to me at home so I had them for the interview phase.

**You do NOT need your case number for Dr Millar to do your medical BUT it is only valid for 12 months & you need 6 months validity when you enter the USA**

The medical was fairly straight forward and painless process. Dr Millar had me answer some questions followed by changing down to my underwear & the glamourous paper gown. He then had me get on the scales, checked my height, had me bend & touch my toes, bend backwards, to the left, to the right. Stand still, bend my neck to the front & back. Look forward, look left, look right. Stand against the wall, cover one eye & read the bottom line, cover the other eye & then read the same line backwards. From there it was out to Pat, pay for the medical ($209 each person) they take cash, cheque or credit card because I paid via visa.

I then went the the 1st Floor to have the Xray done (once again they take eftpos -- $65 non claimable through medicare) while waiting for this I went to the 2nd Floor to have the blood test ($31 also non claimable & can pay via eftpos facilities) After the blood test a simple stop by Xray to pick up your films, back to the doctors room where Pat looks over the report, takes one of the copies & tells you to keep your films for 12 months, you MUST have the films in your luggage at POE and that she will mail out the results as soon as the blood work comes back (usually within a week she told me)

So a summary of costs for Sydney Medical through Dr Millar in Macquarie Street:-

** Medical Consultation - $209 -- payable by cash, card or cheque

** Xray - $65 -- payable by cash or card (unsure about cheques) also not claimable through Medicare

** Blood Test -- $31 -- payable by cash or card (unsure about cheques) not claimable through Medicare.

US Size Passport Photos -- Kodak In the MLC Centre at base of stairs -- $18 for 2 (you NEED 3 for the medical) $3 for them to email you a copy for future use.

Overall it was a great day and I also got to spend some valuable time with my daughter whom I have not seen a great deal of lately because of the late nights spent at Westmead Childrens Hospital with my son on Dialysis.

Hope others find this useful :)

  11. For one I hate white sauces/gravys and this gravy just looked gross and then to have it on something I would usually but Jam and cream with almost made me gag,

I am so hearing this sentiment! The first time I sat down to a meal over in the USA and Eric had biscuits with meatloaf...I about came unglued...I mean scones and they even brought Jam & Cream with them & he slathers gravy on them WTH PEOPLE!!

I am at the point of pulling my hair out...I know most of you have already been in this position but seeing that most of the December filers for CSC have been done...I am still waiting ever so impatiently now & going even more crazy. I dont understand why or how people who filed AFTER us have been approved & yet here we sit in hellish limbo. We had hoped for me to be there for my birthday mid April but the way it is going that is now doubtful which also throws a spanner in the works as my daughter was supposed to sign out at the end of this school term ready for moving in the holidays....it leaves me baffled as what I am to do with her I need to organise that fairly soon so the school here & there in Ohio is fully aware she is moving/arriving in April.

Sorry for being a downer this morning...its just hit me all shades of wrong today.

  12. Oh I am looking -- refreshing & trying not to scream in frustration.

I think I will wear out the refresh button on my keyboard before this process is done! Nothing is easing my mind and I swore to myself when we started this journey that I would not become neurotic or even more impatient...but I have become just those things.

CSC was moving quicker the VSC & that always made me smile...now if only they would approve petitions in order instead of all over the place....no offense meant to anyone else...just a frustrated woman in Australia.

  13. Ok the unwatched pot boiled Approved 3/5/2010 at 5:35pm PDT

Checked my status online, received the text as was logging into visa journey

    Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

    CONGRATS!

Ok i am now officially going out of my mind...have they simply forgotten who's desk they put our file on or is that person just not working as fast as the others?

I know I need to be patient but I just can't be as patient as I need to be obviously. :crying:

  14. CONGRATS to all those who got their NOA2's this week.

We are waiting ever so impatiently lol. The timeline deadline has since passed & we have heard nothing at all -- so now I try not to refresh the USCIS site a zillion times a day hoping for a little touch. I know others may think I am being paranoid or neurotic but well this is part of who I am -- I stress, I worry & I detest not being in control of any of it.

I am going to curl up with a movie for a few hours before sleep.
