  1. Wow!! I just recently joined this site and recently just filed my 129 as well. This is great info. Like most people, I was scared to death that EVERY t was crossed and I dotted. Our government at work. SO..it only takes a few minutes to approve a petition? And the delays are basically just not enough workers to handle the volume? Incredible. ( can we move workers from the IRS to the USCIS?) And thank you!

  2. So after packing up my entire app... double-tripple checking. I made a typo...

I was missing a single letter from the beneficiaries name! ARG!!!!

So my NOA1 has the name misspelled. I called them up and they said I can just send a letter with the correction.

I sent a letter but I just got it back with some generic reply saying I can check the status of my application online. They sent BACK the letter I wrote... with this generic letter. What the heck?!

Are these people really this retarded? They didn't even read the letter! I wasn't asking about status! I sent a statement saying 1 specific box had a typo of her name.

    Now what?!

Who you calling retarded? You will have no problems. The incorrect spelling can be fixed during the interview.

I just received my first NOA and also noticed that ONE letter of my fiancee's name was wrong. Spent about 30 minutes going through a phone menu until I received a real person on the phone. She asked about 30 questions before I could explain what I wanted. I spelled the name correctly and then she said it could take about 45 days before I receive a notice that Vermont has corrected this. 45 days? to correct a spelling error? Does this impact the normal 5 months processing time?

  3. When I click on processing times and then a center, say Vemont, I get this. Can anyone help me? I cant seem to access their site. Thanks.

  4. Hi there!

I'm also in a similar situation, I have a really long and scattered employment history with a few years of grad school in the mix. So does my fiance. I've skimmed through the posts in this thread and people have mentioned that they managed to fit in their whole employment history. But what if you can't actually fit it on the form for the last 5 years? Do we need another form, or do we attach an appendix. Does anyone know? I have the same problem with residences. I've lived in three countries in the last 5 years with a few months of travel here and there.

    Thanks for any help.

PS: I'm Canadian applying to come in, so I don't think attaching tax records helps.

Yes, just make an attachment and label the top of it as "G-325:Employment Last 5 Years." I made mine into a chart to look like the one on the form but I think it would be fine to just list all the information. Make sure you write on the G-325 form to see the attachment and also list it on your cover page. You can do the same with residences.

Does anyone know if a "scattered" employment history, including some months here and there of unemployment will adversely affect the approval process on the I-129? The position I have now is going on 9 months and is stable, but the last few years were a mess. Prior to 5 years ago ( which they are not interested in) my employment was impeccable.
