  1. British citizen, came on VWP, marrying my US boyfriend on 9th JAN 13.

Basically guys, forms just stress me out ..and it might just be me but i find them so confusing.

I take it i do the i-130? and do i also do the G-325 for me and him, the i-485, the i-693 and the i-765?

I know everyones directing me to this page and that page but i'd just prefer it if someone who has maybe done this before tells me these are the forms u need to do..and which order to send them, because i don't know if im supposed to send all these completed forms at the same time, or send some then wait for a notice of approval saying to continue with this form or that form...

Also, my VWP ends on feb 11 2013, and i need to begin my AOS before then so i dont 'overstay' , but if i cant get all the correct information in time to send all the forms completed before that date.. can i just send the i-130 package first?

Like everyone i just want to do things quickly and correctly, dont want any 'overstays' .

( Just another question, a girl i know did what i'm doing but she was from Mexico on a 6 month visa, she's helping me out showing me the forms but would the forms she completed be different to what i should be doing???

THANKYOU, AND MERRY CHRISTMAS :)))))))))))))        :bonk::dance:

Isn't your BF supposed to be doing these forms with you? He is the petitioner?

  2. After your fourth or fifth marriage  you pretty much tell the family to take a hike and just do it your way. A number of people will do it the first time around. Just remember this is YOUR day. You do not want to alienate family but they need to be considerate of all that is going on as well. And yeah, with a K1 you gotta get married in the US. No way around that.

And it is NEVER a good idea to plan anything firm until the visa is in her hands. Dumb things happen and you so do not need that stress on top of everything else.

  3. Relax a bit here. Doing ROC means to prove you have a bonafide relationship. Actually it is the USCIS that needs to prove you don't.Your married and there must be and will be a lot of evidence you will have when the time comes. Living near your school, lets call it a dorm for the sake of argument,is perfectly normal in your situation. How many couples have a spouse who may travel extensively on business? Be away from home for a few weeks or months at a time.Knowing and planning in advance is cool headed. Just keep track of things to prove your situation.

  4. Stop looking at time lines. Stop reading what is happening to others. You are unique like everyone else. Some go faster, some go slower and there is nothing you can do about it. Many more applications are filed during the summer and fewer during the winter and processing times will vary.Holidays play a role as well. Sometimes they will concentrate on one type of visa to reduce the back log at the expense of another type of visa. There is nothing you can do about it..except relax.

  5. I was wondering if older couples, say 40yo plus, have less difficulties than younger couples, say in their 20's, in going through the process of either a K1 or CR1/IR1? Assume there are no large age gaps, or very obvious red flags ( criminal background, second/third visa application). Do older folks have a better handle on what needs to be done? Do they have less problems at an interview stage? Are they looked upon with perhaps less scrutiny than younger couples by an CO? Are the CO's less concerned about immigrant fraud? Just wondering what other VJer's impressions are.

  6. I believe the traffic tickets play no role in this. We all got them at some point in our lives. The DUI should not be too much of a concern by itself. The other charges are cause of concern depending on what happened after you were charged. A fine? Jail sentence? None of those cannot be overcome, but I would check, at least a consult, with a good attorney to be safe.

  7. Don't listen to these people. It is absolutely true. And...

1.If you miss some of the words they send you home

    2. you sing out of tune the visa is cancelled and you must live in the airport

    3. Miss many words and its a life time ban

(however you children can petition for you under a Z496,subsection 32, paragraph R, after 25 years)

You must do this standing on your luggage for everyone on your flight plus the next two. So don't mess up.

( hope you can take a joke! )
