I'm an Egyptian American with a love for my father's homeland... Egypt. :) I visited once and couldn't get enough so that led to a year of study abroad while in college. When I graduated college, I move back to Egypt where I took on the challenge of working in a crazy, ridiculous country for two years before entering law school.
Almost immediately upon my arrival I met my other half. We work in the same company and there was an instant attraction. After taking things slow for a couple months and learning about each other through our work friendship, we finally decided to make the move to boyfriend and girlfriend. When my father visited this summer, it was official. We decided to get engaged and filed our I-129F in August 2009.
We're one of the lucky ones... though the process is long and dreadful, we're dreading it out together. Hoping that his visa will be in hand (as estimated) by May 2010... I decided to wait it out with him in Egypt before entering law school in the Fall of 2010. So like I said, we're one of the lucky ones... together through this journey.
