Our Story
I have gone back to school for social work for a career change. I was not expecting to meet anyone and even thought that I wasn't going to date while in school so I can concentrate on my studies. Then I attended a Ramadan event in late September and met a funny, handsome, charming man from Afghanistan. I gave him a ride to a mutual friend's house and we hit it off pretty well. We found that we had many important core values in common and we've been inseparable since early October.
On May 24th, Qais asked me to marry him. =) I was very shocked and also very happy. I can't imagine my life without him. I've never met a kinder, gentler, more gracious man EVER! We can talk about everything and do everything together. We hardly ever argue and manage to fix things before they reach the crisis point. I think we're one heck of a match, if I must say so myself. haha We are new to this whole immigration craziness and are looking forward to learning all we can.
