Robert and I met in 2001 in Haiti while I was visiting my grandmother. We instantly connected on a friendship level. Over the years our friendship led us to having deeper feelings for each, despite not having seen each other. We decided to meet in 2009 and the connection we felt was inexplicable. Our families met and we decided to enter into an engagement. Robert will be moving here to live with me and we'll both pursue graduate degrees then travel back and forth from Haiti to do mission work. We feel so blessed to share the love that we do and to know we will be serving God together.
