    Brahim and I met when I was volunteering in Morocco in 2006. He was in the US on a J-1 in 2007 and we went through a lot to get the home-residency rule waived (best advice: don't listen to people who say that it's impossible to get a J-1 waiver!). We were finally able to apply for the K-1 in 2008, and things have gone much faster since then. It's been a very long process, but we can finally see the light! Inshallah, we will be together soon.

    We're still waiting! I finally emailed on Monday to follow up. I didn't want to hassle them, but when I found out Jayme and another friend both got through in a week, I got scared. They've not replied yet. I hope they do before Memorial day!! I'm happy you're having fun with Brahim!
