  1. Dgard!!!!!! awesome!!!! My kingdom for a touch!!!

Were you able to find out anything when you called?

I called, but didn't speak to a live person. By the time I was done fiddling around with the combination of their phone system it was already closed! I'll have to try on Monday.

Still, a touch is a touch

We'll see where that leads

You are NOA1 03/12, you will be getting your NOA2 This week......

  3. stephen and elisha,,,,,,,did you hear anything yet??

Nope, not yet, no touches or anything. I might give 'em a call tomorrow anyway just to see.

Congrats on yours! You guys can celebrate together, how awesome is that?!

I called. Useless. The girl was very polite, and said they couldn't do anything until 5 months and a day—which will be the 28th.

strega (or anyone else who found out they got their NOA2 by calling), how did you get past the first-line operator to talk to someone who actually knew something and could check the status beyond what's posted on CRIS?

HOW DO U EVEN GET THEM ON THE PHONE???? I JUST HEAR RECORDED GENERAL INFO.....

    Congratulations!

I can see the frustration abating in the thread already!!

Now we only have about 55 more February filers to go through B4 they even start looking at us March Filers. Whats the deal? They must have only 1 person working in that office at VSC.

  5. My husband is currently in Ohio (US Air Force) and his parents live in Missouri. He said, it might take him some more time to look for a house to buy and i might need to live with his parents and visit me over the weekend for a week. His parents like me to live with them and would love to have me there. And, I have nothing against them. My husband also wants me to spend time with them and be close to every member of his family. He is looking for a house everyday, but can't find the house that best fits our budget and has the resell-able quality in 4 years. Then, I began worrying about myself. My desire is to be with him as soon as I stepped in America. I have been longing to have him. I know homesickness strikes to every immigrant especially if she has never been away from her family. On the other hand, I don't want to offend my husband by saying NO right away. He has good intentions and valid reasons. But, my question is, if you were in my situation, would you accept the proposal? would you say, it's ok?! Or should I just postpone my flight to a later date until he finds a house? If you were my husband, what would you feel if I do that? Of course, I also want to consider what he would feel if I answer, NO, i don't like. before I reply to his email, i want to get answers from you guys. thank you!

if u have to ask us the answer is no. it would be a very bad mistake. Your heart should know the answer.

  6. Has anyone noticed that VSC is now running behind and not meeting expected processing guidelines? Used to say 6 month for k-1 and now says Nov 25, 2008. I guess that means they are so far behind that they are processing k-1s from Nov 2008. This truely sucks.

From USCIS Processing Time Information for our

    Vermont Service Center:

(When applications and petitions are completed within our target timeframes, those timeframes will be shown (example: 6 months). If we are not meeting our target timeframes a date will be shown (example: Nov 25, 2008).
