    FYI I had to go through the process of getting a US DL, certainly that is the common route. My guess is the issue arises with the I 140, it does not really make much sense.

    The number of United States citizens traveling to Mexico amounted to 33.54 million in 2022. I assume it is more now. I have been to Mexico quite a few times, I know people who retired and decided to move to Mexico primarily because their money goes a lot further. People who spend the winter there, people who have second homes etc etc. If it was just being a victim of crime or a potential victim then I doubt there is anyone on this site who would not qualify. I assume the Daughter is also a Mexican Citizen, the only real reference to her is that she can sponsor her if she is over 21.

    You need a well qualified Joint Sponsor, what is the nature if the $116,000 assets? And which Consulate?

    We have members who have gone the I 601 route, refused a visa and given the opportunity to file a waiver. Good luck

    You need the medical before they can issue the visa, sometimes we see the medical happening after the interview.
