  1. Airlines do not seem to like it, now with a K1 book the return out as far as possible in case you want to use it and have AP. Otherwise remember to cancel the return unless the system mistakenly thinks you used it.
  2. LDRs are EXPENSIVE and in your case you have not even met. Not sure I understand the point of a B, you can not afford to visit?, and the chances of getting one with your situation and prior refusal are vanishingly small. Perhaps wait and see, until you can meet and then see how it goes.
  3. You need to file the I 130 you may well need to explain what the plan is, are your sponsoring the other parent?
  4. Could you employ a local Lawyer to act on your behalf. Obviously guessing as I do not know the details.
  5. I must admit it sounded more like you are 16, you are not going anywhere without a Passport. You mentioned access to the VWP so you are obviously from a Country where you can take control of your life.
  6. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country.html You can see what is available here. What have you done so far?
  7. Needs a qualifying relative to file a waiver and that would not be you until you got your GC. Now I am not sure if say both of you went to the interview, you were approved she was not, you enter and get your I 551 stamp can you then file a waiver based on the Employer filing? I 601 take bout 2 years anyway and if you have to sponsor her and then file a waiver more like 6. Putting together a waiver could also be interesting when you just got there.
  8. They make the blades north of Denver and you can see them being shipped by Train, massive and also light. No way could you practically make them to withstand that bit then again an oil rig is going to have issues. We had a wind warning yesterday and looks like today as well, not a good time to be driving a semi with a empty trailer, I have seen those flip but we do get the attention. We have had an OK snow winter, nothing massive but last 2 years have been low, and it has not been that hot so far reducing the demand from the Front Range. The UK had a wet winter, worst since 1948, die apparently to Global Warming which begs the question what happened in 1948.
  9. See my implode comment. Now the Labour of my Father and Grandfathers era was a working class based party, Harold Wilson etc. Now it has much more in common with the Dems, so yes you have your Guardianistas section who think the EU is wonderful, second house in Tuscany etc, and then you have the more traditional element who have been impacted by the driving down of wages etc. So if you are a Labour leader you say nice things to both and do nothing. Lets say they decided they wanted to rejoin, now as I have implied that would get very nasty and more importantly would take much longer than a Parliamentary term. And it is not a given terms could be agreed.
  10. Sort of, well no different to the US, the Tories have had a very long run and certainly the last few years have been awful. Outstayed any welcome they had. Now Labour have some super crazies and tend to implode quicker so last one maybe two terms.
  11. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/article/2024/may/22/rishi-sunak-will-call-general-election-for-july-in-surprise-move-sources Rishi Sunak has called a surprise general election for 4 July in a high stakes gamble that will see Keir Starmer try to win power for Labour after 14 years of Conservative-led government. Addressing the nation outside Downing Street, Sunak said it was “the moment for Britain to choose its future” as he claimed the Tories could be trusted to lead the country during a time of global instability. The rain-soaked prime minister was almost drowned out by the New Labour anthem, D:Ream’s Things Can Only Get Better, blasted out by the anti-Brexit campaigner Steve Bray, as the surprise early election was called. Sunak’s words were met with alarm by senior Tories who are concerned that their party, trailing 20 percentage points behind Labour in the polls, could face electoral wipeout, with some MPs even considering submitting letters of no confidence. Well I am pretty sure that it is not to overshadow the US Holiday and obviously it is a different timeline to the US. I fully expect the Tories to get spanked but by how much?
  12. I still cannot remember what that clause also covers, only come across it a couple of times being used for non obvious issues. Sadly the VJ search function is down as I remember a few years back a similar sort of case but cannot find it, do not remember the details. Maybe it will pop into my brain cell but hopefully the Lawyer will know what the issue is. And you can remind me.
  13. https://twitter.com/NiohBerg/status/1793217526572138748 Will not embed but says it all.
  14. I think the risk of deportation is low, but the waiver has nothing to do with it.
  15. My car is outside and not locked, I got out of the habit with an old truck that would not lock. Now should I probably, if I was in Denver would I absolutely even of y guard pooch was on duty. I have not seen one but suppose it is possible to produce a heat map showing crime allowing for population density, people who have lived here for a while could imagine what it will look like.
  16. Did he officially abandon his GC? There is a long wait in Turkey to get a Tourist Visa Appointment.
  17. Is the tide turning? https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/05/21/democrats-beware-progressive-da-fights-portland-00159065 But on Tuesday, the voters of Multnomah County, the surrounding jurisdiction and a county that has not voted Republican for president since 1960, could replace their incumbent district attorney, Mike Schmidt, with a man who was in the GOP until after Donald Trump became president. “What I hear when I’m knocking on doors, is ‘Hey, I consider myself very liberal but this is out of step — we’re not getting served well,’” said Nathan Vasquez, a longtime prosecutor in the county office and now unaffiliated voter who’s challenging his boss, adding: “People definitely want public safety. It doesn’t mean people are wholly abandoning the idea of criminal justice reform. They just want it delivered in a pragmatic, practical way.” Should Vasquez prevail, it would represent more than the rejection of a progressive prosecutor. It would be the culmination of simmering local frustration with crime, homelessness and drug abuse and a resounding correction to the shift left on criminal justice that took place here and in so many cities in 2020.
  18. She is dreaming of Social Security, nothing has been said to suggest she qualifies. I am not going to guess the result of a Consulate interview, that is down to a Lawyer familiar with the case, but it sounds like it is not a given an immigrant visa would be issued. We used to see a lot of waiver situations. they do seem less frequent now.
