  1. Premiums for family health insurance at work jump to nearly $24,000 this year https://www.cnn.com/2023/10/18/business/health-insurance-premiums-kff/index.html Employees are shelling out an average of $6,575 for their share of the premium, up almost $500, or close to 8%, from last year, the annual survey found. Their companies are footing the rest of the bill. “We have a huge premium increase this year. There’s just no other way to cut it,” said Matthew Rae, who co-authored the survey. “There are lots of affordability challenges for employer coverage.”
  2. Our comments relate to US Immigration Law, I have no clue how Russian law works. It is a little bit more complicated than that but that is the essence.
  3. My concern is that you may be looking at a lot longer than a year, anyway that is also possible.
  4. Adoption and Immigration is complicated, generally she will need to show 2 years legal custody. Much of Immigration Law is painful but not that complicated, I certainly would not rely on a forum for this situation.
  5. The child's father is unknown, obviously there was a father? Your wife wants to delay her process?
  6. Obviously there is nothing you can do now. Usually you need to show 2 years custody in such circumstances but it is shall we say complicated so I would consult with an Immigration Lawyer familiar with this sort of case. Is the plan now to delay your wife's process, lets say you could file for the child come December you are obviously a long way away from the child being able to get a visa. Is the Father on board with this? .
  7. It is not numerically capped Manilla 18m to 2 years.
  8. I agree there is nothing that is foolproof but sometimes you shake your head.
  9. Marry assp Add her Presumably you are talking about tax credit
  10. Yes that bit is true If you are thinking of the film overall a lot of it was a long way from the truth
  11. I think I may have been optimistic thinking it would be a year.
  12. Not an immigration issue, he has a 10 year GC. You need a divorce lawyer.
  13. Why did you not petition him? The PD is not current yet, a year?
  14. Horrible interviewer but that sort of demonstrates the issue. Petraeus made excellent replies.
  15. A little bit before my time, but I think it was up to 10 years, the embellishments came later.
  16. A few days ago a BBC reporter who had been in Gaza and some of the tunnels mentioned a command post under the main Hospital. I can not imagine he was told that unless they wanted it out there. He also mentioned the tunnels into Egypt, described one as big enough to drive a Mercedes through. These do not operate without Egypt looking the other way. Bin Laden was hiding in a house in Pakistan, somewhat different. And my favourite Guardian columnist has of course up with the obvious. Hamas are just enforcing British Mandate Law.
  17. And here is another one: ‘Stunned and sickened.’ Wexner Foundation cuts ties with Harvard over ‘tiptoeing’ on Hamas https://www.cnn.com/2023/10/16/business/wexner-harvard-hamas-israel-antisemitism/index.html Dems may be seeing the same thing with the recent pronouncements of the Squad.
  18. Blanket is a lot quicker. Who at your Employer will be filing the petition if not a Lawyer? Usually beyond HR.
  19. I know some of the larger multinational companies will have in house capability otherwise they would use a Lawyer. Is this L1A or L1B Does the Company have blanket approval.
  20. https://www.cnn.com/2023/10/16/business/upenn-antisemitism-israel-huntsman/index.html UPenn in crisis over antisemitism allegations: Jon Huntsman is the latest donor to stop giving, and a board member resigns There are quite a few other stories of a similar nature, now of course the usual shaming tactics do not really work in this sort of situation, how do you call someone a NAZI etc when you are the one supporting such beliefs, and there is one thing above all others that they desire, money.
  21. Actually your problem is that your Employer does not have an Immigration Lawyer, or do you mean they do not have one yet and are going to appoint one. L1 is dual intent so does not itself conflict with a CR1 and you could switch to adjusting status.
