    Ahh so he was in AP, well there is not set time, just a question of the Consulate doing its thing.

    Seems it was imported into the US so you just need to change it to US specs and the Dealers will know what to do.

    Why was there a second medical? That is not normal.

    6 months overstay is a 3 year ban not that I am saying you have an overstay. I am not clear as to why the transfer failed, the University screwed things up? I am not sure I would want to throw myself on the tender mercy of the Consulate but maybe an Immigration Lawyer can help. There is also the well in 6 months I will be gone and not as if ICE are coming out to find you.

    Expedites are free and nobody here will decide if it is good enough or not. Just be aware everybody and their dog is requesting an expedite now, and when it comes down to it the call is made by the individual reviewing your application. Obviously the more and better supporting documentation you can submit the better.

    Why not marry in Canada and file? Seems your family would want to be present. There is no 90 day rule.

    Filing the I 130 now should put you very close to the end of 2024, I would not delay. I assume she will interview in Belgium.

    It would be their family and you I do not know what the current amount the Consulate look for when self sponsoring, it has been a few years since I have seen it mentioned. I would think 10k would be enough.

    They only seem to want enough for 90 days, now you may then have an issue with filing to adjust, do you have a Joint Sponsor lined up.?

    You are in luck London allows you to self sponsor a K1.

    All I can think of if there is someone who has legal control over his affairs, even then I am not sure if they could file an I 864 on his behalf.

    This sort of thing can happen as the various bits of Government do not talk to each other or when they do it takes a long time.

    Interview yes they have never needed a medical.

    K1s do not spend much time at NVC and do not have an I 130. HP is taking quite a few months to process without these as well I was trying to think of the logic of this, who it is targeted at and why, just gave me a headache.

    Appears the cases have to be at NVC and the Parole period will be 3 years.
