  1. There is only 30,000 a month and would imagine they have had a LOT of applications
  2. This will I think take a long time Most costs are State level, those at Federal are a rounding factor Forget where I saw it now but seems Joe is looking to expand the program
  3. That is a question to ask a Canadian Lawyer maybe the father would have a say
  4. You need to send in documents to support the basis that you are seeking an expedite, severe financial loss.
  5. The only issue I see is the criminal history, not sure I have ever heard of a Canadian having an issue with validity of relationship
  6. I do not see anything that will be a block, you may need a waiver. Husband is the much better route
  7. That sounds more like it. This is more an observation on large organisations but the CofE has been heading in the direction of irrelevancy for as long as I can remember, when I was at school we had a chapel service on a Friday morning but that stopped after the Football version of the Hymns were drowning out the original versions. It is still very much heading in the same direction but surprising how long it takes. More logical for it to convert into some sort of Historical Preservation Society.
  8. I was assuming the plan was that the interview would be after the five years are up but no timeline etc so who knows.
  9. Sadly I am Agnostic, Well no problem with Births Deaths and Marriages, which where the C of E seems to have gone. I was just wondering how the omnipotent Creator was going to pass on their pronouns, a new tablet?
  10. Looks like they are expecting I 751's to take 3 to 4 years so I would say go for it.
  11. https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/26/politics/us-visa-ban-nigeria-election/index.html So he is one of the named individuals?
  12. What did the Lawyer say, how is the Lawyer addressing the issue.
  13. As far as I know, always an important consideration, the applications are not graded, qualification is very simple, you do or you do not. Most do. If you are talking about Section 8 etc then that is not relevant, I think one of the reasons that the Sponsorship requirements are so low is that housing is not included in the calculation but that is another story. If they increased the levels to numbers that make sense I can only imagine the howls of outrage.
  14. I nearly became an Actuary and VJ has always had people making estimations based on very incomplete data with no understanding as to what they do behind the scenes. I do know that for every category I can think of this has been a discussion, how are they allocated, why was this case approved before mine, they applied later etc etc. I am not surprised there are multiple applications, I have been waiting a week perhaps they lost it apply again. Or maybe like Expedites, why not. I wondered if internally they allocate cases in batches and then the individual works their way through them and then gets another batch? Just a guess. If your person happens to have a skiing trip lined up then that batch takes a lot longer to process.
  15. My impression is that you are grossly overthinking this. The basic requirement is that you are a citizen of one of the 4 countries, well also not a dual citizen of another country but that would be very unusual. We have the experience of the Ukrainian program but the numbers involved were much lower and I have not seen any mention of there being a big increase in staff, who knows. As long as you fill it out correctly then I do not see a real issue for any applicant. Other than of course it is numerically limited so I would expect a long wait to form. U Visa is a good example of this. The need for the I 134a escapes me and as you point out a minimum or part time job would meet the obligation. Your big plus is getting in on day one, I would hope they process them on first in first out. Yet again we do not know. It will be interesting to see the number of applicants from different countries, I would hope they split the allocation equally but not seen anything mentioned.
