  1. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2023/feb/18/dom-lemon-nikki-haley-sexist-fox-news Breaking news from CNN this week: women are officially past their prime in their 50s. Although, it’s possible that they age out of their prime in their 40s. It’s not entirely clear. Maybe try asking Google about it. These thoughts are brought to you courtesy of 56-year-old CNN anchor Don Lemon, who is paid millions of dollars a year to share his wisdom with the world. Lemon was doing a segment about Republican Nikki Haley, who launched her campaign for president this week with a call for Americans to put their faith in a “new generation” of political leaders. In a blatant dig at both Joe Biden (80) and Donald Trump (76), Haley said in an event in Charleston that “our politicians are past their [prime]” and called for “mental competency tests” for politicians over the age of 75. This didn’t go down well with Lemon who launched into a misogynistic rant about 51-year-old Haley’s age. “This whole talk about age makes me uncomfortable,” Lemon said on Thursday morning. “I think it’s the wrong road to go down,” he added before immediately setting off at full speed down that road himself. “She says people, you know, politicians or something are not in their prime. Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime, sorry … If you Google when a woman is her prime it will say 20s and 30s and maybe 40s.”
  2. The majority pf people are only interviewed once
  3. Well that sounds interesting from a timeline perspective.
  4. PI is likely to take a lot longer so just a heads up and make sure the paper work is sorted.
  5. To recap, there is an ex wife one child born before he naturalized one after. Current wife and USC child So at least one needs to be petitioned. Assuming first wife is ok with this?
  6. You will need to make sure he is out of the picture, sometimes payment is required. Obviously they need passports, will they be moving to HK or what is the plan?
  7. Where are the children?
  8. I was a bit surprised but it is what it is. Now they will expect you to be able to document everything and that has caused problems.
  9. Nobody is getting a F4 in 10 years, well who has not applied sometime ago. I would expect the minimum would be a minimum for 20 years and go up from there for new applicants.
  10. Let us give Baltimore a rest, I have mentioned Denver and my own school district got a massive grant or series of grants for a new school, very impressive, I still know people who go to other Counties because the teaching standard is #######. I am not sure how representative they are but head over to Tik Tok for lots of weird teacher videos. I had many family members in education so not that surprised where things are heading. Societies rise and fall, it is the natural progression.
  11. I do not think anybody is expecting a significant change in the system, Putin will not stay in power forever and it has always been difficult to work out how the other cogs operate.
  12. Well the USSR had been invaded and a not insignificant percentage of the populace were thinking that was not a bad thing, many ended up between a rock and a hard place. And of course prior to Barbarossa they were effectively Allies. There was talk of Putin having medical issues but not sure how valid that is. Also we do not know who or what would takeover, there are potentially worse options. My guess would be that it would get messy and then Ukraine becomes an unnecessary side show, a distraction. Who knows? I know I have sort of assumed history was a given, it had to be, but there are so many variables that could have changed things very substantially, some very small, so going forward the same applies.
  13. No timeline so I am making some assumptions but I would think most Lawyers who do these would be happy to go ahead with a reasonably good chance of success. $5k seems to be the going rate, I am sure you can find Lawyers who charge more,
  14. No I can see the analogy with Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. Putin seemed to be assuming regime change as the end game, that did not work in any of those examples. Quite what his plan is now is unclear, it does seem this will only end with his demise one way or the other.
  15. One of the dangers of being approved without an interview. Could blow up today, tomorrow anytime. I have not seen a case like this before so not sure what the route forward is, I am going to guess most Lawyers have not.
  16. With the help of Finland? Russia may have shown impressive levels of incompetency but numbers have a competency of their own
