Ahh so he was in AP, well there is not set time, just a question of the Consulate doing its thing.
-
Seems it was imported into the US so you just need to change it to US specs and the Dealers will know what to do.

Why was there a second medical? That is not normal.

6 months overstay is a 3 year ban not that I am saying you have an overstay. I am not clear as to why the transfer failed, the University screwed things up? I am not sure I would want to throw myself on the tender mercy of the Consulate but maybe an Immigration Lawyer can help. There is also the well in 6 months I will be gone and not as if ICE are coming out to find you.

Expediting AP - family health evidence
Boiler replied to tartpief's topic in Working & Traveling During US Immigration
Expedites are free and nobody here will decide if it is good enough or not. Just be aware everybody and their dog is requesting an expedite now, and when it comes down to it the call is made by the individual reviewing your application. Obviously the more and better supporting documentation you can submit the better. -

Income Requirements not met?
Boiler replied to Seino's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
It would be their family and you I do not know what the current amount the Consulate look for when self sponsoring, it has been a few years since I have seen it mentioned. I would think 10k would be enough. -

They only seem to want enough for 90 days, now you may then have an issue with filing to adjust, do you have a Joint Sponsor lined up.? -

https://www.cicnews.com/2023/06/breaking-canada-to-introduce-new-work-permit-for-u-s-h-1b-visa-holders-0635768.html#gs.29v65e IRCC will improve labour mobility in North America by creating a streamlined work permit for H-1B speciality occupation visa holders in the US to apply to come to Canada. Right now, many workers in high-tech fields are employed in companies with operations in Canada and the US, and those working in the US often have a H-1B speciality occupation visa. As of July 16th 2023, H1-B holders in the US and their accompanying immediate family members will be eligible to apply to come to Canada. The approved applicants will receive an open work permit for up to three years, which means they can work for almost any employer in Canada. In addition, their spouses and dependents can also be eligible to apply for a temporary resident visa.

https://www.cnn.com/2023/06/10/sport/brittney-griner-dallas-airport-harassment/index.html Brittney Griner, the WNBA star who was freed from Russia late last year after being wrongfully detained, was harassed Saturday by a man described as a social media “provocateur” at a Dallas airport. A source familiar with the incident told CNN that around 9:30 am CT, Griner was at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport traveling with Phoenix Mercury teammates on their way to a game. Griner was confronted by the man who was yelling at her about “the Merchant of Death.” The confrontation got so heated that the man was tackled, and law enforcement was involved, according to the source. CNN has reached out to local law enforcement and the DFW airport about the incident. “The health and well-being of our players and staff are our top priority and we will always take every step within our power to protect player safety,” the statement said. “No one, regardless of identity, should ever fear for their safety. We will be coordinating with the WNBA on next steps,” it continued. Griner’s teammate, Brianna Turner, posted to Twitter on Saturday, saying, “Player safety while traveling should be at the forefront. People following with cameras saying wild remarks is never acceptable. Excessive harassment. Our team nervously huddled in a corner unsure how to move about. We demand better.” --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think I would recognise Bob, but any other member of the WNBA? I thought they would be delighted somebody recognised them.

I had not really thought about this other than being told when checking out at a Supermarket now is the time to enter your Coupons, what Coupons? I would assume they were overcharging up front to pay for the rebate so look for something else.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11641737/San-Frans-reparations-committee-proposes-5-million-black-longtime-resident.html San Francisco's reparations committee will propose paying $5million to each longtime black resident of the city in a reparations plan this spring. To qualify, people need to have identified as black on public records for at least 10 years and be at least 18 years old. They also must qualify for two of a number of requirements, including having been born in the city or migrated to it between 1940 and 1996 and then lived there for 13 years. It is unclear exactly how many people would qualify should the proposal pass, but if just 10,000 people qualified it would cost at least $50billion. The proposal will be submitted to Mayor London Breed and the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and the San Francisco Human Rights Commission in June. Board President Aaron Peskin told the San Francisco Chronicle he hopes the proposal will pass. The proposal also offers a number of other requirements to be handed out to qualifiers, including the creation of a 'comprehensive debt forgiveness program' which would eliminate credit card and other debts, along with student and housing loans. The proposal also says qualifying low-income households should have their income supplemented to match the city's median income - $97,000 in 2022 - for the next 250 years. 'Racial disparities across all metrics have led to a significant racial wealth gap in the City of San Francisco,' the draft states. 'By elevating income to match AMI, Black people can better afford housing and achieve a better quality of life.' A number of other proposals include investment in San Francisco's black community, financial education, legal protections of people's reparations, tax credits, and black-owned banks being brought in to manage people's money. The proposal also says San Francisco 'issue a formal apology for past harms, and commit to making substantial ongoing, systemic and programmatic investments in Black communities to address historical harms.'

Surprisingly covered by the LA Times, what were they thinking of, but behind a pay wall: https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2022-09-02/black-lives-matter-leader-accused-of-stealing-10-million-from-organization https://www.dailypress.com/news/vp-nw-blm-leader-accused-funds-theft-20220902-vr57r34xvfdn3op257sxa62fla-story.html LOS ANGELES — The leader of the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation has been accused by former colleagues of stealing more than $10 million in donations from the organization for his own personal use, according to a lawsuit filed in court this week. Shalomyah Bowers was called out in the court filing as a “rogue administrator, a middle man turned usurper” who syphoned contributions to the nonprofit activist group to use as his own “personal piggy bank,” according to the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Thursday. “His actions have lead (sic) (Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation) into multiple investigations by the Internal Revenue Service and various state attorney generals, blazing a path of irreparable harm to BLM in less than eighteen months,” the suit claims. “While BLM leaders and movement workers were on the street risking their lives, Mr. Bowers remained in his cushy offices devising a scheme of fraud and misrepresentation to break the implied-in-fact contract between donors and BLM.” Grifters got to grift.
