    I was going to write a long piece about this, but too late too tired. Anyway short version is that it is complicated and my impression is that the current situation is due to a whole host of factors it has taken a long time to get where we are and I have no idea what a solution may look like. I can think of historical precedents they usually involve religious movements or pseudo religious movements. Saw this, now I have seen similar and for whatever reason usually it is the woman talking and the man sitting there gormless. Make of it what you will.

    I do not know offhand what the Rules where back then but as long as a Lawyer has reviewed the case and is confident Misrep does not apply I am going to assume the Consulate are just checking. Obviously not a normal case.

    Generally speaking what is done is done. The only way of knowing for certain is to contact the Consulate, see what they did. On the assumption you need to file again then you can do so on line. Ohh I have not seen this with DCF but have with regular filing.

    Probably looking at the start of the next Federal year, 1st October. Time will tell.

    I was going to say the same, taxes can be a pain but you hopefully can get it all sorted pretty pronto. They do not need it until the next pay period.
