The Ancient Greeks of course referred to the Macedonians as Barbarians, The Potelmy line was Macedonian. Now there was if you go back a long time a Nubian period but nobody s suggesting there is any connection. There is information about what Cleopatra looked like the Jewish objection was religious after all there is a common history. I assume most Palestinians have Jewish ancestors We all know this is American Virtue Signalling and hardly surprising it would not go down well in Egypt Cultural Appropriation or what

Cleopatra was Greek, meaning that she was light-skinned, not black." Mr Hawass said the only rulers of Egypt known to have been black were the Kushite kings of the 25th Dynasty (747-656 BC). "Netflix is trying to provoke confusion by spreading false and deceptive facts that the origin of the Egyptian civilisation is black," he added and called on Egyptians to take a stand against the streaming giant. On Sunday, lawyer Mahmoud al-Semary filed a complaint with the public prosecutor demanding that he take "the necessary legal measures" and block access to Netflix's services in Egypt. He alleged that the series included visual material and content that violated Egypt's media laws and accused Netflix of trying to "promote the Afrocentric thinking... which includes slogans and writings aimed at distorting and erasing the Egyptian identity".

Declaring UK Criminal History
Boiler replied to Poguesy's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
I do not think this is DIY, I would want to get ahead of the game and go in prepared to show assuming possible, that this is not a CIMT, that there was no Misrep, which in my mind needs a Lawyers Brief. There are quite a few good US Immigration Lawyers in the UK who will be familiar with UK criminal law or can easily get an opinion. -
https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2023/apr/19/scottish-ultra-marathon-runner-joasia-zakrzewski-disqualified-after-using-car-in-race Scottish ultra-marathon runner Joasia Zakrzewski has been disqualified from a race – because she was found to have used a car. The 47-year-old from Dumfries had finished third in the GB Ultras Manchester to Liverpool race on 7 April. But she is believed to have travelled 2.5 miles in a car after mapping data found she covered a mile in one minute and 40 seconds. Wayne Drinkwater, the director of the GB Ultras race, told the BBC it was “very disappointing”. Liverpool to Mnchester is of course the oldest passenger train line, if she had used the train then she could have accused her detractors as being trainsphobic. Also what sort of car did she use? Must have been a slow one as she only came third. Or did 1 and 2 use faster cars?

Whole Country expedites are unusual. Last I remember was the Philippines some years back due to weather events. -

How difficult is it to get the story basics right? OK the 'journalist' might not know but easy enough to ask someone to give it a once over or do a bit of googling.- 24 replies

I always thought the Aztecs were up there, but of course given the opportunity everybody was at it. And of course you could be in a much better position as a slave than a serf. Even in American history limited as it is there are plenty of such examples. I always understood that the terms Slaves came from Slavs, certainly the Ottoman Turks would take male children from occupied territories, convert them to Islam and train them from an early age to be their elite Soldiers. So like most things it is complicated
