This has been all over the UK media for the last week, have not seen it mentioned here. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2024/feb/02/police-seize-items-at-address-linked-to-man-suspected-of-chemical-attack-in-london Police seize items at address linked to man suspected of chemical attack in London Scotland Yard appeal for Abdul Ezedi to hand himself in after seizing empty bottles with corrosive warning labels at address in Newcastle. Detectives said the mother remained under sedation after suffering “life-changing injuries”, but her children are not thought not to be in as perilous a position as first feared. The incident took place at about 7.30pm on Wednesday in Clapham, south London. CCTV footage showed a man running around a car before getting into the driver’s seat, with a woman and child in front of the vehicle holding their hands to their faces. A total of five search warrants were executed; two in east London and three in Newcastle. The containers were found at one of the latter. He obtained asylum despite an interesting criminal history which sorts of answers Dashinka's question of the other day. He was convicted of a sexual offence. He was placed on Sex Offenders Registry https://uk.news.yahoo.com/clapham-alkaline-attack-what-we-know-144113638.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAHY-H875hGI_yEpuBvObKBKNtbSO1Q3bEfyqvJsI0R0lPeXSO2pAsgsQyXMin2QkKOltQSKjs8cjZE-E96i4FzwGzOe7Bw6PU7dLeaZFrQ1PxqAca6IyeiGWRpb2OsPlNQXVBy2zlj6_ArEEMKRUX-DL98XlCGTedDi2Dy0v3b7q

EB2-NIW Waiting for Interview Letter in London 2023
Boiler replied to OnPoint's topic in United Kingdom
There is a Nigerian Lady who has appeared on Hacking who got a EB2 NIW through London, I did not think she had much of a chance based on what she said but got it. -
Tourist Visa to F-3

Actually H1b just requires a degree. And even that can be got around. Getting an Employer willing and of course assuming it is a Lottery case being lucky is the hard part. -
I would expect the F4 to be the fastest route. Sometime in the mid late 2050's would be a reasonable assumption. So essentially your Brother would be close to retirement. Children will no doubt age out but they could well have their own families by then. Best bet is to file it, diary for 20 years and then see how things are.

Can I apply for jobs with an Approved spousal Visa (CR1/IR1)
Boiler replied to rubym2020's topic in Finding Work in America
I would use your US address and a US phone number as they are likely to bin applications otherwise. -

Safe bet will be to go for a Joint, for the son it may not matter but hopefully the mother will be interviewed soon. -
So you have someone in mind?

Different state different time but when I came in my State the wording was vague and it seemed I could drive for a year with my DL. They changed it to 90 days when everything was redrafted, and now it says 30 days. EAD was the first thing I got that was on their list but back then I think I got it in 6 weeks so not really an issue. I assume K1s are a small minority and I doubt that they drive any of the rules. When I was in the DMV there was a lady ahead of me who was trying to get a DL based on her having a J but on that trip had entered on a B, with language etc issues I do not think the guy was explaining it well and was tempted to step in, but did not.

There is no mention of them issuing one on a K!. I had to go to my DMV recently, took several weeks to get an appointment, you can no longer turn up and wait. So lets say a best case scenario and they will you would get learners permit and then take the test and then get a full DL which would expire 90 days after entry assuming that had not past. Michigan seems to just require you to do this as soon as possible there is no grace period.

USCIS proposed price increase (Merged)
Boiler replied to KJPeru's topic in US Immigration News and Discussion
They will no longer be included -
Now I am no expert on this but have seen quite a few cases where just because you have served 10 years does not mean you get deported when you are let, With Holding of Removal etc and some countries just do not want their bad eggs back. Always struck me as weird that you can give visa's to people from Countries who refuse to accept their own citizens.

https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/31/us/denver-migrants-crisis/index.html Getting in on the latest Denver before I get usurped. Denver CNN — This is what an overwhelmed city can look like: a preschooler sleeping under a bridge for a month; crowds lining up each night to get food and shelter; and the mayor calling out for help. And when that city is Denver in the winter, and the overnight temperatures sink below zero degrees Fahrenheit, the problems are life-threatening. “Our city is really struggling,” Mayor Mike Johnston told CNN after he visited families in a makeshift encampment – a sign of the unfolding emergency triggered by the mass arrival of people from outside the city. “This is both a humanitarian crisis for the individuals that are arriving, and it’s a fiscal crisis for the cities that are serving. Those two crises are coming to a head right now.” Few, if any, of the thousands of people who have arrived in Denver planned for Colorado’s capital to be their destination after monthslong treks away from persecution or deprivation in search of safety and a chance at the American Dream. But when Texas Gov. Greg Abbott decided to offer free bus rides to get asylum seekers out of his state, the options given were generally New York, Chicago or Denver, migrants said. Each of those three cities has a Democratic mayor and Abbott has targeted them as part of his stated aim for “the rest of America (to) understand what is going on.” Migrants told CNN they had heard New York was too full, believed Chicago would be too cold and thus picked Denver. The mayors of New York, Chicago and Denver have issued joint calls for the arrivals of migrants to be treated as a national problem with a national solution. They have called for a coordinated entry system, but Abbott’s spokesperson told CNN in December the only fix was for President Joe Biden’s administration to “secure the border.” Just to be clear Colorado is not a Sanctuary State, Denver is a Sanctuary City and years ago were down charging illegals with Agricultural Trespass to avoid the attention of ICE. There is no agricultural zoned property in Denver. But on the agricultural theme you reap what you sow. And we have had a mild winter. So far.
