  1. The issue is that the number of sibling visas that can be issued each year are capped and there are a lot of applications
  2. Well that depends how long there is before the PD is current, thet will not send it to the Consulate until the PD is near current
  3. There is a You Tube lawyer who is against them but has never explained why. But that goes for a few other things, my guess is fear of the new coupled with can not be bothered to research it.

  6. More likely over a year sought to acquire, if you had been over 18 then your step parent could not have filed. obviously limited information, seems a big time gap, what does the Lawyer say?
  7. You are. If she can afford an Investment Visa can she not stay in her home and employ home help?
  8. They interview people not documents, certainly not normal to consider documents. You are just waiting for the K1 like everybody else, in the meantime life goes on.
  9. It is difficult to get a tourist visa with a K1 in process. Not sure I understand why her inability to visit has such a dramatic effect, it should not delay the K1.
  10. You have plenty of time to work though these issues, looking at a move on that latter part of 2025 if I have my timetable right
  11. Misrep no, I would focus on the medical and make sure you have all the documentation needed. Not sure why you did not stay and adjust but that is water under the bridge
  12. Pretty sure I have seen this mentioned in other countries as well, no way can this be not a known issue.
  13. On my way out but it appears there would be enough time for the child to get a K2 before the mother has to leave with the K1, visa should be good for the mother for 6 months from the date of medical. K1 is to K2 as K3 is to K4, you are not married, K3 in the very few cases it is issued is for married people.
  14. That seems to vary according to the country concerned, for example Philippines I know is not a problem. The Mother has all the rights in this situation.
