Coventry council used Airbnbs to house ‘vulnerable’ teenage boy accused of rape Judge accuses local authority of a ‘lackadaisical’ attitude to the 16-year-old’s care after regulated providers refused to give him a place A teenage boy who has been accused of multiple rapes was housed in Airbnbs by a local authority after regulated accommodation providers said it would be too risky for them to house him. Airbnbs and other temporary accommodation have been deployed because no secure placement can be found anywhere in England that is prepared to accommodate the child, who self-harms, makes weapons, assaults staff members, damages property and has been taken to hospital after expressing suicidal thoughts. He has been arrested on numerous occasions. At a hearing in the high court last week, family judge Mrs Justice Lieven said she found it “absolutely astonishing” that Coventry council had seen fit to place the vulnerable 16-year-old in a series of unregulated placements all around the country over the last 12 months, from which he has frequently absconded. He was later placed in an unregulated children’s home. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2023/nov/02/coventry-council-used-airbnbs-to-house-vulnerable-teenage-boy-accused-of Well this just popped up in my Graun feed. It does not say how much this is costing but you can imagine. I find it totally un astonishing, what do you expect? Anyway the article has a lot more detail. OK US is a little bit different bit the same issues arise.

Bringing My 20 Year Old Son
Boiler replied to CaCaCa's topic in Bringing Family Members of Permanent Residents to America
I suppose it is theoretically possible for F2a to apply but it would be a very weird combination of circumstance for that to happen. Much much more likely is that you are looking at F2b All you can do is file asap. -
Please help - I-601 waiver

Inside or Outside does not vary the time. -
Nothing like this but I have been involved in a couple of projects that only made any sense because of subsidies and of course you maxed them out. Subsidies usually come with requirements that make them much more expensive to do, so just taking a little usually makes no sense. I did read that there is a spot in France where they have found Green Hydrogen bit did not seem that overall the expected reserves would be massive. The other thing that sort of is similar is Government accumulated liabilities, for example Pension schemes, a big noise a few years ago and it has only got worse but the story disappears. In the UK many of the larger Councils, think Cities and Counties, are on the verge, where I was born due to mainly two things, they introduced legislation to allow 'equal pay' claims for past employment, comparing say Cleaners to Bin Men, and the spiralling cost of child care costs for those in their custody. They will close Libraries but never the Politicians pet projects. It is sort if inevitable, when did you last hear of an entitlement going away, a law being deleted, same sort of thing can happen to large Companies but they go bust and are replaced.

There may be other issues but that is the obvious one. Hence what is the plan? -
Foreign Military Service & F1 Visa

Yes it can I doubt so in this situation -
I can probably dig up some film from the 1960's showing people looking far better dressed despite having a much smaller wardrobe. My Grandfather for example worked manual jobs but always looked very presentable when going out. I am sure I can find traditional menswear shops in Denver but nothing around here, but then I would have to think long and hard the last time I wore a suit.

Filing I-130 for mom

I had a look at post history just to see if I could get a clue but am even more confused. I 485 would not be appropriate, but that should have been picked up if one was filed. I have seen I 130 interviews for Spouses but not children. -

I am going to guess the OP was born in the US. Not sure what the plan is, get an I 130 approved and then I 601 a? -
I was thinking how I thought things would go. Versus how they have. I thought it would take at least a week before the usual suspects twisted the narrative, well just a few days. I was expecting the ground attack to be sooner. I did not expect the level of Antisemitism to be quite so obvious. I did expect very poor coverage and nobody seems to answer the interesting questions. You spend 2 years planning this but run out of supplies, allegedly, in a few days. Electricity at Hospitals running out every next day despite lots of photos of PV systems. Why Israel has not taken out the desalination plants, or the power plant, I would have thought those would be worth a bomb. Why Egypt does not seem a willing participant in opening up a corridor. It never made much sense for Progressives to align with Religious Fundamentalists, still do not understand that. Nor do I understand why there has been so much Jewish support, I assume that will change but you never know! I can not find it now but there was a clip of an Israeli tank taking a car out, being filmed, ticks a lot of boxes for being a VBIED but it does not matter, if it had succeeded Hamas win, picture of tank taking car out also Hamas win. Now if I was in that Tank I would not be taking any risks, after all does it matter? Damned whatever you do. Mind you I would hope there will be a lot of people waking up, but I am really not convinced that will be the case.

Authorization to Travel to the United States Once the beneficiary has confirmed their biographic information and attested to completing all other requirements, we will process their case further. Beneficiaries will receive an email instructing them to check their online account in myUSCIS for the result of their authorization to travel. This authorization is valid for 90 days. If the beneficiary has been authorized to travel to the United States, they must arrange and fund their own travel. Beneficiaries must arrange to fly to the United States by air directly to an interior port of entry and their final destination. -

I thought this was interesting, the EU has many issues of course and this is not the one thing I thought would bring it down. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/sep/22/migration-eu-diplomat-josep-borrell-ukraine-china Migration could be “a dissolving force for the European Union” due to deep cultural differences between European countries and their long-term inability to reach a common policy, the EU’s most senior diplomat has said. Although Russia will try to fan the flames on migration inside Europe, Josep Borrell denied that the conflict in Ukraine was contributing to the crisis, which he described as a decades-old problem fuelled by wars and poverty in departure countries. This I certainly will agree with: In a wide-ranging interview with the Guardian reflecting on how the EU had been changed by the war and where the bloc fits in this new world order, he said European countries had been forced to wake from a siesta on defence spending, in which they had lived under the American nuclear umbrella. And this: At a subsequent lecture at the New York University Law School, he said the UN security council had been proved “completely useless in recent years due to its divisions” and called for an overhaul of political and financial institutions to revive a multilateralism that “is outdated and running out of steam”.

https://www.cnn.com/2023/06/10/sport/brittney-griner-dallas-airport-harassment/index.html Brittney Griner, the WNBA star who was freed from Russia late last year after being wrongfully detained, was harassed Saturday by a man described as a social media “provocateur” at a Dallas airport. A source familiar with the incident told CNN that around 9:30 am CT, Griner was at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport traveling with Phoenix Mercury teammates on their way to a game. Griner was confronted by the man who was yelling at her about “the Merchant of Death.” The confrontation got so heated that the man was tackled, and law enforcement was involved, according to the source. CNN has reached out to local law enforcement and the DFW airport about the incident. “The health and well-being of our players and staff are our top priority and we will always take every step within our power to protect player safety,” the statement said. “No one, regardless of identity, should ever fear for their safety. We will be coordinating with the WNBA on next steps,” it continued. Griner’s teammate, Brianna Turner, posted to Twitter on Saturday, saying, “Player safety while traveling should be at the forefront. People following with cameras saying wild remarks is never acceptable. Excessive harassment. Our team nervously huddled in a corner unsure how to move about. We demand better.” --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think I would recognise Bob, but any other member of the WNBA? I thought they would be delighted somebody recognised them.
