  1. Not sure how many people would recommend an abuse waiver over a divorce waiver. Why are you not letting your Lawyer handle this
  2. Lots of Turkish people visit the US. I think I was 12 the first time I visited Turkey, a school trip so no Parent. Marrying someone you have never met always makes me wonder, even more so when there are young children involved. How young are the children? There is no requirement for them to meet him, it would be a good idea however.
  3. The scariest term in the English language - I am from the Government and am here to help you.
  4. There is no specifics on this, your guess is a good as anyone's else. DCF is by its very nature subjective.
  5. I thought Georgia was mainly Christian? Anyway it does not matter, I actually married Religiously which was also legally but it seems in most places the two are separated. In this case and hardly the first time we have seen this she married when she was not free to do so so it does not count for anything that would matter as far as US Immigration is concerned, now why you would do this is beyond me. So get divorced, get married and go from there.
  6. I have not seen one before, looks like an internal worksheet?
  7. Your timeline does seem optimistic but he's there are plenty of opportunities to delay matters.
  8. It does not matter, like you say these things take decades and what will matter is her situation when her PD is current, if she then has a spouse that spouse can be included.
  9. I am just going to cover the B as it seems all the other Fraud Indicators have been ticked. It seems unbelievably common for those applying for a B particularly in Lagos to state on their application that they are married, now for a B no one is going to check but when it comes to a GC the DS160 is pulled out and someone says hang on, he said he was married but where is the Divorce Certificate.
  10. A FOIA cannot do any harm. As I understand it not a guarantee to unearth everything.
  11. I don't know, lots of things fall into that category. Now if it had been me I would have sent in the I 407 back then, that is the best clearest route. In my mind. The more common situation I have come across is where someone has say a 10 year GC and leaves and is gone many many years, well they have clearly abandoned their status, but gets let back in as a GC Holder. Now this is even messier. I have a feeling that what should happen does not usually, but not sure. Also possible that action was taken and they do not know. Just throwing it out there.
  12. Gretchen Whitmer apologizes for feeding chip to podcaster after Catholic backlash Michigan governor accused of mocking communion, while she says stunt was meant to promote Biden’s Chips Act Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer has apologized for feeding a Dorito chip to a social media influencer who dropped to her knees after Roman Catholic organizations accused the Democratic politician of insulting their religion by mocking the sacrament of communion. “I would never do something to denigrate someone’s faith,” Whitmer said in a statement that her office provided to the Michigan television news station WJBK on Friday. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/oct/13/gretchen-whitmer-doritos-chip
  13. If you do not properly file Form I-751 within the 90-day period before your Green Card expires, your status as a conditional permanent resident automatically terminates. We will: Send you a notice telling you that you failed to remove the conditions; and Begin removal proceedings against you by sending you a Notice to Appear at a hearing. At the hearing, you may review and rebut (deny) the evidence against you. You must prove that you met the requirements of your conditional permanent resident status; we do not need to prove that you did not meet the requirements. If you file your Form I-751 after the 90-day period, you must include a written explanation for why you are filing late. We will determine whether there was good cause for your failure to file your Form I-751 within the required time period.
  14. I do not know the full details, I assume none of us does. I have certainly seen other cases where it has turned out there have been more issues than the ones originally mentioned.
