Dancing--especially salsa! I also love reading in Spanish and English. Gabriel Garcia Márquez and Barbara Kingsolver are two of my favorites. I also love love love to travel, although I've not done much. Yet! I plan to visit every Latin American country before I die. So far I have Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica and Mexico down. I have a lot of traveling yet to do!

Our Story
He conocido a mi media naranja! Y entonces dejé mi corazón en Iquique :(
June 2008 I moved to Chile for a 6 month study abroad program and ended up staying with the hippest old widow in all of Chile. She introduced me to many great Chileans, but she really seemed interested in introducing me to Gustavo even though he lived 24 hours north of Santiago in Iquique Chile.
Well he and I began to interact online and immediately clicked--we had so many shared interests! September of 2008 I went up to Iquique to see the desert and to meet him, of course. I immediately knew I was interested in him, and the day after I arrived an earthquake struck just as he was coming to greet me that morning. He yelled "girl come here!" at me and we stood together in the doorway of the guest room as I experienced the longest 6.1 earthquake I've ever been in! It had to have been at least 30-45 seconds long, I swear! My word was certainly atremble and I'm pretty sure I fell in love with him at that moment.
We were married in the US June 12th and are expecting our first child at the end of January 2010.
