Hey y'all! Just wanted to let everyone know that I just got the NOA2 approval notice!! YAYYYYYY I have been waiting for more than 8 months!

I haven't really written on this forum, but been reading the posts religiously for the past few months since I joined. It has been a great source of encouragement and information. Thank y'all soooo much!! Hopefully, we will see more approval notices so especially for Sara and the ones that have been waiting as long as she has.

Hi all I guess I should have joined this thread a while ago. I've been waiting for my NOA2 for almost 8 months now. My case status still says " Received and Pending." And no one at USCIS can seem to tell me anything new about my case. I have not received any "touches" since Aug. 6, 2008. I recently contacted my senators office and I'm still waiting for the case worker to contact me about what she finds out. Oh well...just wanted to say hello to everyone else here.

Hi. I filed for my fiancée at the end of September. He is also in India. I have not had a touch or anything. Touched means that your file was handled by someone. Could be just moving it from one desk to another. Feel lucky you have even had a touch. I have read a lot of people on here saying sometimes they go through even without a touch. You have hit the 6 month mark so I would suggest calling your congressman or senator. I just did that today and am going in to see them on Monday. They may be able to help you. Good luck.

I filed the 1-129 in July and received the NOA1 stating that they recieved my paper work on July 15, 2008. Since then I haven't heard a word from the VSC! I am filing for my fiance in India. Has anyone else filing for their fiance in India, heard any news lately?

BTW, what is the meaning of being "touched"?
