  1. Question 14 ask for my divorced wife's alien number that she was given after I successfully filed for her after we were married in USA in 1980, I don't know it and I don't know how to find it. Is it necessary to complete that box?

Also I don't know the exact date it was approved.

Write Unknown.......that is a truthful answer.

  2. I have written the following for question 34a:

I-129f supplement, question 34a, circumstances of our meeting.

I went to FilipinoKisses.com (which is not a marriage broker, see attached "about" page and Terms of Service for evidence) to find a Filipina, and found [fiancee name] in the process. We started talking online via Skype, Facebook Messenger, Yahoo Messenger in September, 2014 (copies of some of our continuing conversation attached). I then traveled to the Philippines November 7-24, 2014, May 14-24, 2015, and October 22-November 8, 2015 to spend time with her. We stayed together in three different hotels and visited her father, brothers, sister, neice, and ate during my stay. We also visited an American and his Filipina wife and their daughter who live in Angeles City, Philippines during my stay there. Photos, receipts, travel documents, and a copy of my passport with visa page provided as evidence.

Is this an acceptable response? Or what else should I say?

we met online and then I then traveled to the Philippines November 7-24, 2014, May 14-24, 2015, and October 22-November 8, 2015 to spend time with her.

  3. Hi,

My fiance and I want to start our K-1 process soon, but we just got word that he would be going on a 7 month deployment next spring. This makes things complicated, as I wouldnt be able to work until I get my greencard, and I would need to save a ridiculous amount to support myself while he is gone. Because of this, obviously, our plans have changed.

Does anyone have experience with a similar situation? We were hoping to either start the process, and get an extension on the visa validity (providing deployment orders of course), or to start the process right as he leaves, and I would be able to make it there as he gets back.

    Any advice?

Military that has iminant deployment orders is eligible for an expedite.

  4. Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of, or been asked, questions about previous living/work places and the dates (as in before you met your fiancé) for either the K1 or Adjustment of Status interviews. Both my fiancé and I have lived and worked in several locations before we met are are not sure if we should be memorizing the dates or not (besides the dates of previous visits in either countries).

    Thanks!

Maybe but I wouldn't memorize dates.

  5. In anyone's opinion, is the fact that we both traveled to different country than our residence provide a stronger case of having met?

    No

We both have all of our boarding passes, corresponding passport stamps, pictures together with verifiable landmarks that are famous, hotel receipts, travel itineraries and hotel booking reservations.

    Perfect

I've searched the forum and cannot find any topic addressing this. IMO, it seems that it is easier to prove having met when both have met in a different country as it generates more evidence. Thoughts?

Doesn't matter, just had to have met in person.

  6. Even if you do not have any income at all because you are a student, you still need to fill out the necessary forms and submit a letter explaining why you are not filing taxes (if you are not)

Not exactly correct. Both you and GrandMa will fill out the 134 support forms, Your income will be listed as 0. It's kind of verification that you need a cosponsor. So two 134 forms will be brought to the interview. There is no need to explain why you don't pay taxes, just statements as to your income.

  7. I'm currently in college, and my fiance who I've been with for 6 years and I are planning to have her move to California from the Netherlands. Since I am in college I'm not meeting the financial end of the contract so my mother and my grandmother are willing to sponsor my fiance financially.

You can only have one cosponsor.

My question is they both do meet the requirements very easily.

Can only have one and they need to meet the requirements.

But my mom is debating having a baby with her boyfriend. If my mother is on the co sponsorship and goes on leave and say dropped below the financial requirement because she wants to raise her baby. If i report this to the government will my Fiance still be ok?

No, if her current household size plus the baby plus your fiance and the minimum income requirement for that size is not met, then she is not an eligible cosponsor.

Because my grandmother easily hits the financial eligibility as well.

    Then go with Grandma.

  8. No. It's not a fraud. He can go to visit her with intention to visit and not getting married yet to change his mind staying with her over 60-90 days. people has the right to change their minds and the Immigration recognize that. Time changes situations and people, could be health, relatives influence, pregnancy, much more emotional attachment etc. Not a fraud at all.

She has already stated that they want to get married.

What you are talking about is just friends meeting in the US (or meeting in the US then becoming friends) and then out of the clear blue deciding to get married.

This case is different. Do you think USCIS doesn't read VJ? They certainly do read Facebook, that's well documented.

  9. This is what we ended up going with - we realized buying cheaper tickets wouldn't save us all that much money anyway, it was money that would completely go to waste, and I didn't want to put my kids in a weird position at CBP... so we just went ahead and decided to get the return tickets through the same company they're entering POE at. It ended up being the best option, money-wise, and now I have the travel authorization from the father matching those dates as well.

So, the return ticket issue is handled - thank you so much for your input and suggestions.

Besides a return ticket, is there anything else you suggest for CBP? To show ties to the country? I'm still trying to get something from the embassy - an interview date would be best but I'm doubtful I can get one in time for their departure.... Any other suggestions?

Thank you all again. It's much appreciated!

A letter from you with your GC number, etc. stating the plans for the kids.

  10. With case number in hand, is there anything we can now do to expedite the process?

    No

Or are we simply just waiting until Paris sends us the packet with further instruction?

Yes, but go to their website. You should be able to download the forms yourselves.

Also, what about about the medical? Can she take the medical in Portugal, or must it be in Paris?

Go to their website or contact them. They know what they want.

We're looking at some added costs due to this new surprise!

It happens. There will be more future costs.

  11. Hi,

My ex wife and I have been separated since May, 2014, she has an affair and left for her lover. Filed for divorce in July, 2015, then I took a vacation to Laos and met my fiancee. Divorce is going to finalized in March 1, 2016. How long should I wait after the divorce to filed the petition for my fiancee? I was thinking about filing in April, should this be okay?

    March 2nd.

  12. But that can take six months or more correct? We would really like to be able to travel outside the USA for our honeymoon, and we are hoping to plan a wedding ceremony that isn't extremely distanced from our actual legal marriage, but obviously being in the good graces of immigration and being allowed back into the country is our top priority. I just want to make sure that we can legally travel outside the USA if we have EAD/AP combo with us when we re-enter the USA.

My wife and son travelled with only their APs and had no issues re-entering. Again, they had copies of their 485 NOA1 and our marriage certificate.
