Adding wife to house deed

Not why you call them. You call them because they file deeds after closing and know exactly what the process is to do it. -
Adding wife to house deed

State dependent. Call to the county tax office (or) the folks who handle closings for the mortgage company would be my first step. -

Non-existent. Assuming they are Muslim these two are allowed to meet in person with a chaperone present. -
As noted above there is a possibility for an emergency visa to be processed if an immediate relative passes away. Unfortunately an in-law does not fall under that definition. Condolences on your loss

You’re in a rough spot between wedding and SS number They like to see: Marriage proof Joint residence (lease, drivers license, “official” mail addressed to both of you) Joint banking Joint credit Joint taxes Joint insurance (usually auto and life and health) Spouse named as beneficiary on retirement, life insurance Joint bills (utility, cell, etc) Many of these require SS number So build the same package again starting with wedding/marriage Cover letter listing attachments Add to cover letter explaining the items pending social security number (bank, credit cards, being added as beneficiary to retirement and life insurance) Marriage certificate (COPY) 4-5 wedding photos 1-2 sworn affidavits from someone who attended the wedding and who knows about and can describe your wedding, where you live together, and your relationship Your leases (both) Joint health insurance Joint bills, any and any bills that come to you and your spouse separately with the same address Joint cell account if you have one Evidence that the two of you are expecting is a good idea, we brought it to our AOS interview and they added it to the pile. If there is anything not listed that is on the “like to see” list then add it. Suggestion is to rebuild the whole package even though most of what is listed is already sent. We empathize. I remember those days. Best of luck

Orginal marriage certificate

You must get one because you need that certificate over and over through the different steps of the process. I wouldn’t even try to get it back from USCIS. -

That certificate is as good as gone. -
Immigration and customs are two different groups. We (USC’s) can be pulled into customs if they wish where immigration has no jurisdiction (none, zero) once US citizenship is established. They can dig around into our baggage etc back in customs if something interests them. Secondary is usually immigration (customs enthusiastically digs around anyway sometimes) but secondary is where your entry is determined or decided. A USC who for example loses a passport on a flight would have citizenship confirmed back in secondary but would normally never experience anything like that.

You did not do anything wrong. The warning is that by law the IO has to assume every entering passenger has immigrant intent and by law the burden of proof is to demonstrate that you do not. As a spouse of a USC you automatically qualify for immediate immigration benefits that the vast majority of visitors/tourists do not qualify for making you a higher risk. The IO was explaining what you have to do IF you are intending to immigrate to be with your spouse. Be careful that your travel patterns, etc don’t make it look like you are using the ESTA program to “live” with your spouse and it’s a good habit to carry ties to your home country (employment records, etc) with you when you enter.

When you arrive, 8 CFR 211 advises you are entitled to a hearing on determination of your status and you have the right to be paroled into the US pending that hearing. No matter what the CO says, or what they say if you are taken to secondary, advise that your trip was temporary and you are returning back to the US. Do not sign anything that abandons your green card and politely advise that you wish a ruling by an immigration judge before you will. You don’t want to risk that hearing at the embassy and I do not blame you. We did risk it after a 4 year absence and got our SB1. Pull the SB1 application, look at the list of evidence of ties to the US, and have that information with you when you enter. Documentation of uninterrupted employment by the same US company would be a very good piece of evidence that you have not broken ties. The others are - valid drivers license, banking info, investment/retirement info, an address (hopefully you are addressed to a family member or somewhere permanent for your ongoing US business), insurance (any including health, auto, life, etc), vehicle registration, cell accounts, and if you stored any property while you were away show it. That is the exact list that got us our SB1 (minus US company emplpyment) and whether you have to pull it together for an embassy determination, a determination at the POE, or an immigration judge the information will need to be pulled together and on standby for when you need it. Best of luck. I am sure you will get in, but this may drag on for awhile if you get the wrong IO. NOTE: Applying for SB1 does not automatically trigger status as abandoned. Who told you that.

You will have no issues from an immigration standpoint. Those cards with that note are common, we had one like that as well. A SS NUMBER is good forever, and you will automatically receive a new card without the note after your immigrant visa is approved and entry is processed. There are many reasons to receive such a SS card, the main one being SS cards with the same restriction are issued to K1 visaholders to allow them to get married (some states require one). They cannot use it for work but they can use it to enroll in health insurance, etc after they are married. Best of luck!

Income in Bankok is zero for purposes of immigration. The ONLY reason to submit foreign income and tax returns is to demonstrate that the USC files their taxes like they are supposed to. Update the I-864 as soon as the ink dries on her 2022 W2 and you will be fine. The official paystubs you need to show current income are current paystubs from her current US employer.

Child support issue
iwannaplay54 replied to IsabelleFredrick's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
Lot of gray areas in this one. A signed agreement between parties is generally valid and enforceable in any state. Advice here: You signed an agreement and are currently in arrears at a level that natural born USC’s are denied passports until they pay up. This is not DIY. You need to engage an attorney soonest. If you DO DIY then your best path is to attach and disclose the signed agreement, demonstrate that you have paid SOMETHING, and let them make a ruling on it. I personally wouldn’t touch an N-400 until this is fully cleared up. -
You can try. They do like two forms of ID. Suggested to renew your state ID before you go to the post office because if they accept your application they are going to keep your original certificate while your passport is being processed. Some combinations of “any two” also may work. Bring every one of these that you have (and copies) They do accept “temporary” state IDs if they have your photo. Not sure about your state but Texas does give you one when you renew and it does have a photo. If you have a rewewal AND the expired one - my bets are that combination will work if you also have a SS card. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/identification.html This is the full and complete list. State Department issues the passports, State Department rules govern the process. SS card AND expired state ID is actually on the “any two” list. Good luck
