  1. That wasn’t a question. Every embassy says that you can bring a translator if you wish. That does not mean a translator is required.
  2. It’s a little light but they won’t “reject” it. By the time they RFE if they do you will have joint taxes and health insurance, which will both carry a lot of weight. Best of luck
  3. This is helpful to know. Thank you! We usually have to get a 60-day from the consulate or wait in line at the visa counter at the airport and it’s a pain.
  4. I know a dude in Houston who is on wife #4, all K1’s Serial fiance?
  5. You’re in normal processing time. Texas applicants get 3-4 extensions (2-3 years) on ROC.
  6. What do you mean they haven’t advised him. DS-5535 Marriage certificate (which is on the list he got for things to bring anyway, he appears to have disregarded it) Something from you. What is it? Support affidavit? Thats on the interview list too Someone who can translate for him
  7. Hard to tell where you are. You adjusted status in 2018, and have received two extensions. Does that mean your AOS was approved? What interview are you referring to. I485? You filed ROC (I751) in 2020? From your description it seems like you are waiting for approval on lifting conditions and that has been taking FOREVER lately. NOTE: NVC won’t have anything to do with this, they process the file to be sent to overseas posts for visa processing. Once in the US your case is with USCIS.
  8. You personally would have to be “in the business” to “receive proceeds”. You were not and are not. To be disqualified you would have had to personally perform actions that could be criminal or immoral in nature and the actions of a relative are not required for you to disclose as your own.
  9. I just saw this. Congrats! Hopefully you have been grilling the missus on those questions and make sure if they ask “who was here when the pilgrims arrived” she doesn’t answer “nobody” LOL Good luck tomorrow! I do not want your story in “tales of the green card” either.
  10. Legally you can. Just add it to your income and attach the court order. Warning that Family courts (at least here) would not look favorably on this. An engaged father could really upset things with your custody. I know I would, 100% certain. I had custody switched for less. This is legal from an immigration standpoint but not advised for reasons listed above.
  11. It is as fraudulent for a USC to plan ways to skip the line as it is for an immigrant to misuse a non-immigrant visa with immigrant intent.
  12. Social Security, drivers license, passport, and register to vote are the four things we did as soon as the ink was dry on the naturalization certificate
  13. The visa is issued with the passport holder’s name.
  14. Not many threads. They’re rare. Two paths. Returning resident or throw yourself at the IO’s mercy and cross your fingers. Good luck!
  15. Unexpected job transfer to the US is a common reason to expedite. If you are not transferring and do not have ongoing income when you move to the US your hurdle will be the I864
  16. I haven’t seen anyone fail the test but here is the applicable section of their policy manual. I dont think the officer told you to come back. Policy manual Section F indicates they’ll schedule you another appointment. https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-e-chapter-2 Fail again and your app is denied. https://www.uscis.gov/citizenship/find-study-materials-and-resources/study-for-the-test/100-civics-questions-and-answers-with-mp3-audio-english-version Your test is the 2008 test. Above ^^^ are the 100 questions. Learn them and the answer. https://www.uscis.gov/citizenship/find-study-materials-and-resources/study-for-the-test These ^^^ are the questions and different answers in different languages. Do nothing but this in your spare time. Over and over. https://www.uscis.gov/citizenship/civics-practice-test-2008 Good luck.
  17. Wow Study Pick a day within 90 days Go back and bring your letter 90 = days from the date on the paper you were given. I’d be back next week. The questions are not that hard.
  18. LOL even we were chaperoned until after our ceremony (it was a day and a half after I landed but still her dang brother “shadowed” us while we did the very last minute preparations. After 8 years living in KSA I am well aware of several right ways to meet in person while also adhering to Islamic rules and so are the IO’s who process these applications and waivers. A waiver request is DOA if this is an Islamic marriage.
