  1. Tex is gonna smack your hand he sees this thread LOL We ALL been there buddy. It’s worth the wait.
  2. This plan will 100% flag you. Advice is buy her a round trip ticket from Canada.
  3. If you continue to try to plan ways to violate immigration laws you’re gonna get tossed off the site bro. This isn’t India and this isn’t funny. When we got married and applied for a tourist visa to visit the CO laughed at us. You want to work in the US while your application is pending you’re gonna be separated. That’s how it works. You can apply for a tourist visa like we did (twice) but your chances of getting one are close to zero since you’re married.
  4. Demonstrate you have 3X the cash-equivalent assets based on your family size required to sponsor your spouse and you can live overseas with her. I dont think you understand that your spouse cannot enter and live in the US until your petition is approved, her visa is processed, she interviews, and the visa is in her passport. Not a visit visa, an immigrant visa.
  5. That’s how the legal immigration process works. You can always stay with your spouse and sponsor her on assets.
  6. An attorney for a straightforward K1 is unnecessary and has a higher likelihood of messing up your case than doing it yourself. With that said T&C should be attached just for record. They are assuredly not a “marriage broker” under the legal definition. At most they “facilitate an introduction” and the rest is up to the couple.
  7. OP advised spouse passed away in a previous thread on citizenship
  8. Fingerprints are automatic and they either re-use or take new ones from every filer. Does not reflect on approval of your case. Get to studying. A member failed the civics test the other day and those questions are actually pretty easy if you practice them before your interview.
  9. File an I130 petition for her and it is processed through USCIS and NVC exactly like a petition for a spouse (without the conditional and proof of marriage stuff we all had to compile) Good luck!
  10. They probably look at it but you’ll have to submit a current / updated one after the petition is approved. It isn’t needed at the petition stage.
  11. You’re really planning, in the open, to bring a spouse in on a visit visa? Meet in person, file a K1 petition Marry, file an I130 petition for spouse Are your options Then wait in line like everyone else.
  12. No you do not have to sell your investments, just declare them on the I864 or I134 (whichever petition you file). The asset rule for USC spouse is 3X the difference between actual and required income and if you are a household of two you can probably qualify on assets alone. You do need a domicile and it’s probably not the very best to domicile with your ex wife? I’d suggest switching to another family member. “Domicile” is not required, “intent to establish domicile” is the standard. Keeping all your banking and assets in the US as well as having an address to initially live is a good start on “intent”. Best of luck
  13. The clock starts when you become a PR. It doesnt matter when you file after the three year mark. It looks like you were approved around March, 2020 which means your 90 day window is imminent.
  14. Hundreds of them. If you filed it with the final divorce decree all you do is file and wait. Good luck.
  15. They dont have a choice. They must, by law, accept your I-551 notation on your immigrant visa. This ^^^^
  16. No They are advising you to file I-485 adjustment of status. You will not be able to work in or leave the US for several months if you do.
