My aunt and my fiance's aunt works together in vietnam and thought that we would make a great couple. From there, pictures, emails, and phone numbers were later exchanged.
All this took place in Feb 2009. Our first phone conversation was on Valentine's day (how convenient).
Four months later, in June, I took a 30 day trip to meet her in person and to get to know her family. After the first time of seeing her and her family, I knew it was a sure thing. So my fiance and I talked about marriage and a week later I asked for her father's blessing on our engagement. Then her family organized an engagement/wedding ceremony on June 21, 2009. Then we went on a get away to Dalat and Nha Trang for a week long honeymoon before my 30day trip to vietnam came to an end.
After coming back to the US, I gathered all my paperwork and information for the K1 process. I then sent the form G-325a and letter "intent to marry" for my fiance to fill out and send back to me. A month later I was ready to mail out my package to the Vermont Service center. This was done on September 3, 2009... now I wait.
