    the answer to my burning question has come!

    i got a letter today indicating a rescheduled appointment date of the 24th of august. perfect!

    i am rather pleased with the turn-around time. original appointment was the 9th of august, so 15 days. not too shabby.

    though i did not maintain composure the ENTIRE time, i am glad i didnt get too crazy about it. but thanks to all who responded.

    if anyone has any questions, i am now an expert on rescheduling at the saint albans, vermont ASC! ha!

    did you send two copies to VSC and your local office???

    rescheduling biometrics,is it a risk or spend another round trip ticket instead?

    hey guys, I leave tomorrow and will be out of the country for more than 3 months, be back January 12 with my hubby. I have NOA right now because my greencard expires on November.

    My in laws will receive my biometric appointment letter, and will send the notice back with our round trip itinerary and my written letter ,requesting to have my new biometrics schedule after January 2012.

    Is it worth it to do that,? I saw some stuff online regarding rescheduling their bio appointment and they had some horor stories like denial and abandoned,, what should i do??should I just go back to Unites States to do my biometrics?, but I have to buy another round trip ticket because my husband and I has to be in Philippines until January..so it means, i buy round trip ticket for fingerprinting and go back to Philippines after bio. or send the letter asking for our date even its not possible if they will let me do it on the date I requested.

    please give me some advise, should I reschedule it or just spend huge amount of money just for another round trip ticket..

    balikbayan box international flight

    I just came back 3 months ago from our May-June vacation, but anytime my bio is done, I'm leaving again and going back to Philippines, how much balikbayan box cost ?I'm taking it with me in the plane, but I will have the two luggage of my stuff, I just need extra luggage for pasalubong, but its going to be a balikbayan box, how much do they cost?

    Hello Everyone, Just not have been on VJ and did not get a chance to update my timelines.

    Yes, we got our NAO1 - now we are clear to travel if we need to.

    Some people here noted that we should not travel until the biometrics are done and good news for us. We just received our biometrics scheduled letter yesterday 09/17/11 and the interview is before the end of this month.

    Hoping that others got theirs as well as I have not seen any further updates from others.

    How long is the wait after the biometrics that I get my permanent GC, I wonder? Hope VSC keeps them flowing fast. :thumbs:

    you are so lucky, I am waiting my NOA now and hoping to get biometrics this month, so I don't have to buy another round trip ticket to go back States for fingerprinting.

    cannot update the timeline unless you say which place its sent to. CSC or VSC?

    Also curious why you had to have his signature from Iraq? Military can use orders and letter from commander.

    I sent it to VSC. I filed it August 15th,sent back august 29th. They did not accept my husband scanned signature in I 751, so my husband from Iraq had to send the original signature which took 2 and a half weeks.

    I don't know why did not accept his scanned signature but I did include his orders and papers proof of his employment in military base Iraq, but he is not a member of military though,civilian contractor.

    Travelling this September tp Philippines, my Greencard expires November 10. Sent my roc packet august 15th, USCIS Sent it back because they need original ink of my husband signature in I 751 Form. So from Iraq, my husband sent his original ink signature and its gonna take 3 to 4 weeks to arrive.. after that waiting I send my packet again and wait for NOA Extension letter.

    I have to travel soon as possible and my in laws will send me the NOA extension letter in the my country, then wait for the Biometrics letter and fly back to US to take my bio appt. then fly back to Philippines..

    I don't want to take the risk of rescheduling my Bio appt because they might give me some delays in my application..

    My question is, can I travel back to US with GC that is about to expire in few weeks or few days??

    My husband is not a member of US military so they did not accept his scanned signature.

    Did you explain what you were submitting in your cover letter? Specifically that you were including the orders and employment letter showing that he was out of the country?

    YEs I did ,! I guess they did not accept my reason because my husband is a civilian contractor.. I cant believe they sent it back, I put everything in the packet, his id, spot orders, and employment letter. I called USCIS and the guy recommend me to try sending it again or send the form with the original signature which will give me long time to get my extension letter and travel outside US..

    Hey guys, I sent my packet August 15th and VSC received my packet August 18th. Today I got my packet back,August 29th, USCIS sent it back to me and gave me a slip which is an RFE I guess, they are asking me to send a I751 with the orginal ink signature of my husband (US Citizen), but my husband is working in Iraq right now, and based on USCIS Website that if my husband is not in the country it will be ok for me just to sign my own petition just include the documents of him working outside US. I did included the orders and employment letter of him in Iraq (Civilian Govt. Contractor), I don't know why they did not accept my application? I need my extension and Biometrics letter soon because I'm going to Philippines with him for a vacation. If my husband send me the I751 with his written signature, it will take a long time for me to get my extension letter and biometrics, I need to travel by September 15th.. Please give me some advise ..

    hey guys, I got my application back,they returned my packet because my I 751 has only scanned signature of my US Citizen husband, my husband is working in Iraq, I included the spot orders and employment letter of him to my packet but USCIS still sent it back to me. I don't know why but in USCIS website says that i just have to provide a documents of my husband in Iraq like his orders. I dont know what to do, I am in hurry to get my NOA and bio letter because im going out of the country soon. :(
