Obama: "I don't know why Kushner needed to talk to Putin instead of the Ambassador Kysliak.  It must have been pretty important.  It would have been much easier for me in 2008 if there had been an Iranian Ambassador to the United States when I wanted to talk to the Iranians.  But hey, at least I disclosed my contacts on my security-clearance form!"

Kushner: "Do you think Kysliak talks to Putin?  Maybe I should have just talked to Kysliak.  By the way, it's amazing that you remembered to add those little details about the Iranians on your security-clearance form."

  2. 1.  Change the locks.

    2.  Remove her from all accounts.

    3.  File for divorce.

    4.  Don't be alone with her.  Don't answer the door when she knocks.

    5.  Send the USCIS a letter telling them that you were scammed.  Don't expect anything from them.

    6.  Don't bother with the police.

Hang in there, brother.  Things will get better.

  3. You will need to have your work permit (EAD) or your green card before you can get a job.  That can easily take six months or more from the time you file to adjust your status.  I don't know how your degree will benefit you in the U.S., but the U.S. is full of opportunities.

Fortunately, my wife had a nursing degree, passed the NCLEX, and now works as a U.S. nurse.  U.S. nurses are paid much much better than Filipino nurses.

  4. I don't believe that you will find a state in which you meet the residency requirements for divorce in the U.S.  Your only alternative may be to get an annulment in the Philippines.  Abandonment is grounds for an annulment in the Philippines.

Keep in mind that you will be required to list your marital status as part of your next petition packet.  If you are still married at that time, you must divulge that fact.  Failure to do so could lead to a ban from the U.S.

  5. Chinook and I just returned from 'pinas.  We usually fly Seattle/Narita/Manila with Delta.  On this recent trip, we flew Seattle/Inchon with Delta and Inchon/Manila with Korean Airlines.

Korean Airlines had a lot more leg room, comparable to Delta Comfort seats.  The tickets were a lot cheaper too.  We paid a bit over $600 apiece.
