Our Story
Here is Elena and my story as amazing as it may seem.
Let me start by saying I live in San Diego California and Elena lives in Frankfurt Germany. In February of 2007 I bought a magazine about plastic airplane modeling which I enjoying doing as a hobby.
I was turning the pages and there she was. It was a photo of her with her boss, but looking at the picture I thought it was her husband. Anyway, i was mesmerized and said to myself "wow, i would marry that girl right now. there is something special about her and she is so beautiful!". Fast forward 6 months. There was an national plastic model contest that is hosted in different cities throughout the U.S. every year and happened to be in Los Angeles in 2007. So being a model builder I couldn't pass it up. I was walking around enjoying the show and went into one of the vendor rooms, the moment I walked through the door I saw her standing there and she immediately looked at me and smiled. I was couldn't believe it! It was like a dream. I just wanted to tell her she was beautiful but she was with a customer so I walked around the room glancing at her and catching glances and smiles back from her. I eventually left and went to eat something and gather my thoughts. I went back in and again she was still busy. I walked around some more and eventually went over by her to wait for a moment to talk to her. She broke away from her customer, looked at me and asked if i needed something. I said I wanted to tell you that i thought you are very beautiful. I think i caught her off gaurd but we talked for a while. I found out that the gentleman in the picture, who was also there, was her boss, and not romantically involved. I had no idea she was from Russia and lived in Germany until asking some more questions. I was about to leave just knowing I met a wonderful girl, but luckily she gave me her email address and phone number. I walked out of there and knew that my life was going to dramatically change forever. I went to visit her 2 months later, and then again 2 months after that. And now she has come to visit me a number of times also. On my second visit I asked her to marry me. It has been an unbelievable amazing fairy tale romance.
