Me and my husband had AOS interview few days ago. They took my I-94 document (etry record). We did not receive any responce, they said to wait something in mail. Is this good or bad?

The stamp is just a temporary thing to show you have been approved for GC- no longer needed when you get the physical card.

Thanks for writing back. I am planning to go to Europe in Spring. Do I still need the stamp in the passport or it is enough with the GC? Is the stamp the same as GC?

Hi! I need advice. Me and mu husband will have our AOS interview soon. I just found out that my home countrys passports changed to biometric passports. That means I still have the old type of passport that is not walid anymore. I checked with my embassy and they said I need to change my passport and will not be able to leave USA with th passport that I have. At the interview I heard they stamp approveal in the passport adn then send a permanent resident card? What if I change my passport after the interview, I will loose the stamp? Can some one help me with this?

I know how frustrated you are, but I suggest waiting another week or so. I was also one of the people who got left behind when people who had applied after me were being approved. But as you can see in my signature, my EAD did finally get approved and within 90 days of NOA1.

You applied a week or 2 after I did. This coming week might be your week.

I sent my application (I-765 and I-4850 on April 25, 2008. It is 10/11/2008 today. I have not received any updates jet. The USCIS web site shows that my case is still pending. I wonder if there is some one else out there that filed at the same time as I did and still has not received anything? I tried to make InfoPass apointemnt via the USCIS web site, but my local office in Charlotte NC does not have any appointments available:

""At this time, there are no information appointments available for the office in your area. Please try back again later. "

My last update from USCIS was June 19, 2008 when they received additional documents for application I-485. Does someone know when I could expect to hear back from them? Looks like twice as many people have applied this year and that probably slows down the processing times.

I and my husband filed the application I-485 and on April 25, 2008. The cases are at the NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER. I still don't have any news on I-485, nor I-765. It sais my file is pending. Does someone else have this problem?
