  1. They have 6 months to approve a case. In two or three days the official 'processing times' list will change and there'll be a date around the 15th of February. But luckily for most of us it goes quicker than that.

It just seems very missleading to have a date idicating they are working in files recieved in January, when we see on this web site approvals for cases filed after January even thosed filed in April have recieved a second notice of approval. I just wish the government would provide a bit more inforamtion. They should indicated how many cases were recieved in each month and how many are processed and pending for each month. I dont want to know what is longest it can take.

  2. Wow. just spoak to USCIS on phone to ask if my case had a problem and got the complete run around. I filed my case on April 11, 2008 and when I ask if there was a problem because I have recieved a second notice or RFE or anything, he told me I was well within the normal processing times, because in Vermont they are working on cases filed on January 17, as we all know this is what it says on the processing times at the USCIS website, and yet we know full well as evidenced on this web site cases recieved by the vermonth processing center after January 17 have already been approved. What is going on? I never understood the processing times on the USCIS website anyway, I thought it was the processing time for the complete process, file to visa????

Any one know the phone number to call the Vermont processing center. Or is it not a good Idea to call does that just piss people of and have them put your papers to the bottom of the stack?????

  3. Seems like my application is in a holding pattern, no news ore REF, I filed on April 11, 2008, received 1st notice on April 25 and my app. was touched on May 21, since then nothing. Perhaps its the Waiver issue. I have filed two times before once in 2002 and once in 2004, both were approved and both ladies came, one returned and one we actually married but she could not take being so far from her family and returnd. So now Here I am again and I m wonderning of the past two is slowing me down. I just looked at my Waiver again and It all appears to be perfect, can't see why anyone woudl want to stand in the way of someones happiness....
