  1. Hi All,

I got a letter from NVC today that my wife's case was assigned to Chennai consulate. But she resides in Pune which comes under Mumbai consulate and this is what I indicated in I-129F. I was a native of AP and our mmarriage took place in AP which comes under Chennai consulate.

So my question is - does NVC always forwards the packet to the consulate govering the marriage location, not where the spouse currently resides? Please let me know your opinion. Also I am wondering if I should call NVC and aks them to look into this. Any information will be helpful. Thanks.

  2. My husband sent the form I-130. He already received NOA1 for form I-130. Now he just received an RFE (Request for Evidence) saying that we have to attach 2pcs 2x2 passport pictures each from me and my husband. We sent only 1 picture from me and my husband for the G-325A form because it says in step-by-step guide to send one passport photo. They wrote this in the RFE:

"Lightly print the names and A-numbers on the back of the photos with a pencil."

What is the A-numbers that we should write on the back of the pictures with a pencil?

I appreciate for your help in advance. Thank you so much.

The A# is the unique alien number assigned by USCIS for each invidiual. If you had never applied for a green card you would not have it. So on your photo you can just write your name and no a# at all. As for your husband's photo he can write only if such a number was assigned to him previously like when he applied for green card. But if he was a US born citizen and doesn't have A#, he may omit it. This is what I did for my wife. She did not have A#, but I put my A# from the green card on the back of my photo.

  4. Hello All,

Our K3 (I129F) has been forwarded to NVC (got a letter from USICS confirming this). However the NVC automated system only has case number assigned to our I130 WAC number.

Does this mean that NVC is going the route of I130 rather than K3? Please let me know if you have information on this. Thanks.

  5. Hi All,

I got an email that I-130 and K3 filed for my wife are approved at CSC. Actually I called USCIS this afternoon to see if they upgraded the I130 that I field as an LPR (recently I became a citizen). I don't know if that helped, but the thing went through. Anyways, thanks a lot to the members of this forum. It was a great source of help and hope.

I have one qucik question, now that both are approved which one will NVC pickup? Can we call them and let them know (do we have a choice)?

    Thanks and blessings
