    Thanks so much for the info everyone! (And Mod for moving it, I didn't even see this section.) He is now a US citizen for a few years and we live in MO full time to answer a few of you. I will definitely review all this info and again, thanks so much. You never really outgrow this site do you?

    If this is the wrong section of the forms please move. Quick question for anyone who has already passed this milestone. My Mister reached retirement age and filed for us UK State Pension and received his first monthly pay this week. I'm trying to research to see if we should be setting aside $$ for year end US tax purposes, OR, will this not be taxed? I was hoping to see how this is working for others before paying a CPA to answer me.

    Thanks so much everybody, I really appreciate the input. In the beginning I started a big binder that I was putting everything in. Maybe I will just finish that up and store it and then get rid of all the extra stuff. I’m kind of like you guys, it scares me to think of getting rid of it. It was such an ordeal to go through and they can switch on you’re so easy. 🫤

    Does anyone have knowledge of how long document retention should be? We, like all of you, have a giant box of immigration paperwork and am just wondering what everyone is doing with it and when. Thanks :)
