  1. Since I have had content removed that was advising something even less "illegal", I now try to follow the TOS to a T, and would never dare to advise someone to misrepresent their marital status.
  2. Enjoy the time traveling experience and the pleasure of picking cute stamps at the post office
  3. You are NOT single, you would be filing married, filing separately. Contact Turbotax to know how to - usually you can use a dummy SSN (all zeros, or something), when your spouse is not a resident. Again, you are not single, keep it simple. File as married, filing separately, and amend later.
  4. I have only seen it ever being a problem when the relationship was raising many other red flags. Filing your timeline and country of the beneficiary would help. File "married filing separately" (you are certainly NOT single), and amend your taxes later.
  5. It seems that the expedite would reduce the timeframe where an hypothetical return to Family court is possible, however, if OP already has permission to move permanently, I don't see USCIS, or the embassy, approving an expedite for an hypothetical situation. People would request expedites just in case their loved ones might get sick, maybe lose their jobs, or hopefully not be hit by a car. If OP wants to request an expedite, then go back to legitimate reasons/motives and argue around that. However, it might not be approved for the whole family, and then comes another situation they want to avoid.
  6. In Adobe Reader, you hit print, then fill by hand. It's been a known issue for years that the forms are not perfectly adapted. To comply with their instructions, you'll have to get creative. Best of luck.
  7. Possible solutions: - Use another PDF filler - Print and fill the blanks by hand The instructions make sense, their form isn't perfectly adapted though. Known issue.
  8. OP has been very vague, but with the previous thread info, it seems that the child need to finish the current school year in their school, and that she's worried that the visa being issued after the start of the next year (in August/September), might motivate the father to keep things as is for another school year. I think OP has to realize that people can request expedites, but they can also voluntarily delay at NVC/interview if they want the visa validity period to coincide with the summer months/in-between school years. Maybe feasible for summer 2024.

  10. Could you please fill your timeline? Going back to your other thread, it seems you just sent the i-130 in March 2023? When was the matter resolved in family court/how long do you have to leave?
  11. Make sure to list your name(s) and aliases.
  12. Mine did. The request form asked me to list all other names used.
  13. Early April you started you were filling "tomorrow", so I assumed that she filed already. Especially with how anxious you were to have to corrected. Yes, she's now the permanent resident and it's her document/hers to correct, update, etc.
  14. Who filled the first i-90, the permanent resident, or yourself?
  15. Because I feel this thread is going in circles, with many users having recommended to fill online already.
  16. CURRENT income is the most important. Please, please, make sure you can meet the 125% requirement BEFORE bringing someone else - you will have a few extra expenses to fill for AOS! Basic retail job at any large retailer now pays 17$/hour, and meet the requirements for 2 people. Best of luck to you two!
  17. As I have written before, without knowing the countries and situation, it might, or might not, be "false". This is a well-documented problem in many regions of the world (one example, here - point 25, on page 30 - https://www.refworld.org/docid/583ed81c4.html). Embassies abroad are aware of these situations, and how to verify the legitimacy of documents. A document that might sound "false" in a developed country, might be the only document available legally in another one. Too many missing details to know in OP's situation.
  18. Not necessarily, some countries will not issue birth certificates to people born in some situations (undocumented/temporarily present/etc.). Others, like me, have birth certificates from more than one country because it is how the registration of birth abroad is done for them. It is not call "registration of birth abroad", just "birth certificate" - it gets weird. @ymir it is not clear what you are trying to do exactly - listing the countries and providing more details might help other users guide you.
  19. Some Canadians/their spouses have gotten an American loan to pay off the Canadian loan and be able to import their car. You might also want to double check that your can actually import that make and model.
  20. It makes no sense, but it doesn't really matter - the visa would still be issued in the name in her passport. Just make sure you list all names used when required (USCIS forms, police certificate, etc.).
  21. Visa will be issued in the name printed in her passport. If her passport is still in her married name, she should update it prior to her interview.
  22. 5. Read the instructions to Remove conditions (in two years). Get a box and set up a folder on the computer. Save all evidence pieces as you go.
  23. Health insurance, will, living wills? Beneficiary on each other's investment accounts?
