    99.9% sure that the land entry agent won't even know/notice that the card has been ordered. The documents you have are valid, travel safe! [In Canada right now, got a nice 30 cm of fresh snow yesterday!]

    I wouldn't submit 36 months of full statements, unless you think your relationship looks very suspicious. If you want to submit some in their entirety, I'd do oldest, than quarterly, and the last three to six months. You guys aren't even married, that type of evidence is usually not required. On another note, you can usually select the type of documents you want your scanner to create, and very large PDF files can be reasonably small in size. Might even be easier to downloads then directly from your financial institution than to scan them.

    We've always adjusted our deductions to get the smallest refund possible, same this year. You can find calculators and adjust yours. I wouldn't mind paying more taxes, I just wish they were used more efficiently.

    Similarly, this is something I would discuss with the fiancée, is SHE ok with you having a roommate? is she ok with having a roommate when she moves to you? Culturally, and personally, it can be totally acceptable, or a big absolutely not. Money is important, people [yourself, your fiancé, and the roommate] are more important.

    On another note, the immigrant is also much better protected with a spousal visa, and I am sure her family, and herself, will appreciate that. Best of luck!

    Worst they can do is actually mistakenly approve and realize later/at interview stage that you were not eligible to file; you will then lose more time, and money; the later they notice, the more detrimental it will be. Just withdraw the current I-130, and submit the new form as soon as possible, ideally before the fees increase.

    They do check the border entry/exit reports against the EI claims, so it is not that easy to abuse. Just checked for my state and you are allowed to visit Canada while receiving unemployment.

    I know the Canadian unemployment benefits allow it, in some cases - moving abroad to be with a spouse being one. We have a big thread about it

    The flowchart and guides are only an overview of what needs to be done. You will still need to refer to the instructions for each form, and instruction from the interviewing consulate. For example, you can see that: "Where to File Where you submit Form I-134 depends on whether the beneficiary named on this form is inside or outside the United States and what type of application or petition this form is being submitted with. See the instructions provided with the corresponding application or petition for detailed information on where to submit this Declaration of Financial Support."
