Hello,
I have a question regarding whether or not I have sufficient evidence to file an I-130 for a CR1 visa and I was hoping some experienced members could provide insight on whether I should proceed or wait a little bit longer.
For context, my wife and I met in a traditional Middle Eastern way:
We met through family members, had no direct communication prior to marriage (learned about each other through family members) and married relatively quickly after physically meeting each other for the first time.
As a result of this, we do not have much evidence to prove that our relationship is bona fide.
The evidence which I have is the following:
Authorized user on credit card
Emergency contact for work
Call logs showing lengthy communication everyday since marriage (~4 months), ranging from 1-5 hours a day.
Extensive chat logs everyday since marriage
Some gifts bought for her
Money transfer for a gift regarding a major holiday
Letters from family stating the marriage is bona fide.
A few phone calls with her father, prior to meeting her
Pictures with her at a wedding (not ours)
Pictures with her at our wedding ceremony (a small, informal ceremony celebrating official marriage, a larger, traditional wedding is still being planned)
We have only been married for 4.5 months.
Can I ask, do you think that this evidence is sufficient to show that the marriage is bona fide, at this point in time? Additionally, are people at USCIS aware of the marriage customs in the Middle East, where there is no dating?
