For personal reasons, I rather not hire someone I don’t know. I know she can’t do it on the tourist visa, I just figured since she has one, it could help her case in getting a different one, but I am not very educated on visas. what do you mean she would have to take classes? Like a full time college student?

Good morning/afternoon/evening. Background: Active-Duty Marine with AD Marine Spouse. Located in two different states, can't be placed together. Have an 8-month-old son. I am located in Long Island, NY. My aunt is in Colombia, she has an active tourist B-2 visa. She has used it to come visit us, but I would like to sponsor her so she can stay with me while I finish out my current contract (2 years left). Is this possible? She is not with any au pair agency, we could possibly find one, but I REALLY need her to be here sooner rather than later. We also aren't concerned about getting a green card or citizenship, it's solely to help me out since I was denied separation for parenthood and my husband can't be transferred either. Thank you for any advice!
