  1. Gotcha, thats about what we thought too, I am just overly worried that *anything* could go wrong in this process. I appreciate the advice!
  2. Howdy, I am applying for a K1 visa for my Australian fiancee. We are putting together the I-129F packet now, although I have an issue with my own paperwork. I was legally adopted and had a name change at 4, and I do not have my original birth certificate nor is it possible to gain access to it as I had a name change in my birth state and to my understanding they've all been overwritten. I do have a passport, an updated birth cert, and a decree of adoption which doubles as a certified name change stating the old name and the new name. As far as I am aware, this name change document may be the only thing that states my birth name on it, although I know my birth name is still somehow tied to my SSN. Can I expect to have any issues if I provide all three of these? I am concerned about some sort of RFE asking for proof that I cant produce. Any help is greatly appreciated!
