yes, that is right. I was just getting concerned that my Naturalization certificate says "married" and now I'm applying as divorced not even a week after.

I think so. The fact that me and my ex-wife were not longer together for some time came up at the interview, because officer noticed we have different addresses and lived apart since 2020.

I don't feel it is that convenient honestly. it would have been more convenient to have my divorce finalized either sometime before or some extra time after the passport was issued, not 3 days after my ceremony.

thanks for replying. In the interview we talked about me and my ex wife living apart for a couple of years already, and I'm pretty sure I mentioned we were divorcing. Officer started then to ask many tricky questions to verify it was a legit marriage. We have been married for 10 years.

HI guys, I'm going to mention first that I became naturalized though general provisions. However, I earlier became resident though a marriage with US Citizen. Basically, I find myself with the Naturalization certificate as a "married" because technically at the day of my ceremony, which was on the 19th I was married, but the official date of the end of my marriage is the 22, just 3 days after. I'm now applying on the 25, Monday for my first US passport. has anyone being in the situation? should I still applying as married or mention the divorce date?
