His letter does not state that we could pay in cash at the consulate, it states that he can pay his fee at the Cash Plus or online at ustraveldocs.com profile, if they would have stated to just pay the fee and no other instructions, then I would say we could pay at the consulate. This process just seems so confusing, we are almost there but then we get stuck on this part and want to make sure we make no mistakes

My fiancé and I FINALLY received word that his interview is scheduled for the first week of Sept. 2025. We have submitted the DS-160 and have scheduled the medical exam, but I am so confused as to how to pay the fee online, when going through the Moroccan Embassy it ask you to create an account which my fiancé did and then to choose what visa is paying for, we choose the "Non-immigrant Visa, K1 Visa, once we put in all the information it requested, his info plus the # on the DS-160, it took us on how we would want to pick up the material, we clicked on pickup which is near the Embassy of Casablanca, then it takes us to part on how we would like to pay, we chose to pay cash, but then we get stuck there and confused to what to do next. The letter we received states the following "The total fee for an immigrant visa is $265. payment must be made using local currency. You can pay your fee only at Cash Plus or online using your www.ustraveldocs.com profile." There is no option on paying on the day of the interview. The thing is that we already have the interview scheduled and this system is to pay the Visa and to schedule for the interview, so I am confused on that as well. When we click on Click here to pay by cash, we are sent to another website and not sure if we should be filling that out and submitting. Some please Help!!!!

YAY, Congratulations!!! So happy to hear this. We are in the process of waiting for the Welcome letter, but we are gathering all the documents needed for his interview and will bring it to him, the good thing is I travel the month of August to see him, and we will have more photos to attach to the book. I am thinking the only thing he needs from me is my tax transcript, bank information, paystubs and the I-134 form filled out by me, not sure what else is needed from me. I sent an email to NVC and the embassy of Morocco to try to expedite the process (I have a physician letter) but not sure if it will get approve, so for now they say it takes like 2-3 months to get the welcome letter and instructions on what to do next then another 2-3 months to get a medical/interview appointment, all just takes so much time. The good thing is I am seeing him in August, and it's been a year since I last saw him 😢

The Consulate for my fiancé is Morocco and for some reason I thought that I had to pay the 1. Immigrant Visa Application Processing Fee and the 2. the Affidavit of Support Fee. But now that I look at it the K1-Visa is not an Immigrant Visa, it's a Non-Immigrant Visa. Our Case is already on "READY" but never received the K1-FTP Letter, so the case is now at the Embassy, but I did inquiry through the NVC public inquiry about the K1-FTP letter so let's hope they send me or my fiancé something through email. Thank you, little by little I am understanding but it definitely is very overwhelming and confusing, so glad for this forum.!

Well, we got the DS 160 application done but now we are waiting for the K1-FTP which is the welcome letter from NVC, which means I need because I didn't receive an invoice # to pay for the fees for the K1 Visa. A little confused on that, because online when I google, it states that I don't need an invoice # and I don't pay fees online and that my fiancé will pay those fees at his embassy, but I don't know. Just confused here.!

Thank you and did some research and yes, your right about them placing it under Immigrant Visa for the K1 Visa, but one should apply for the Non-Immigrant Visa DS 160. Of course, we don't have the welcome letter and not sure how long the Consulate of Morocco might take, but since we do have the NVC case I asked my fiancé to start the DS 160 application and pay all fees then we can start gathering all information needed for my finance for his interview. I asked him to start getting his police record, making an appointment for the medical exam but he states that he needs the welcome letter first, not sure how true that is but I know by the time he gets that letter is going to take him another 2-3 months to get an appointment. Another thing is I wanted to try is to expediate the case it but not sure where I should send my request since it's now at the Consulate of Morocco, would that be something I request through NVC, or should I contact the Consulate/Embassy of Morocco?

Hi all, So good news here, my inquiry did work, I just got an email this morning with the new case # and stating "We forwarded your immigrant visa petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate on 18-JUN-2025." I checked the CEAS tracker and got this message - Ready Case Last Updated: 21-Jun-2025 Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at: http://nvc.state.gov/interview For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV. My next part, I am a little lost because we haven't received a letter or anything, so I am not sure what the Petitioner myself or my fiancé is supposed to do next, help!!!

Hi, I completely understand, we were approved the 1st week of April and our case got sent the last week of May, still haven't heard anything either but did send a public inquiry to the NVC asking if they created a case and haven't heard anything. I will be going to see my fiancé in a month and hoping I hear something before I go, planning on sending an inquiry every 10 days like some people have recommended.

Question - is there a difference between the NOA 1 and the NOA 2 - for some reason I am only finding the I-797C NOA which was the first one when USCIS received the case and I-797 NOA, which is the one stating it has been sent to NVC and it states it's only valid from 4/1/2025 to 6/30/2025, that scares me that it is about to expire. I am not sure which one I should send to inquire about creating the next case through NVC. Help!!!
-
Hello, Congratulations first thing! We are still waiting, we were approved on April 2, 2025, going on 2 months with waiting on it being transferred to NVC, wondering if there is anything I can do, how long did it take for your file to be sent to NVC? As well, what do you mean about making sure to send an inquiry 2 weeks after the submission date, do you mean after it has been approved by USCIS or after it's been received by NVC? Thank you and hoping your next part goes quickly and smoothly.

Oh Jeez, that's horrible, I am so sorry, I would suggest you keep calling USCIS and insist they look at your file. From the site that I have there is 24 Cases still pending for review. By this month they should have started to review your case. Good luck, patience is the key to all this, the next steps after being approved or not becomes another huge hurtle to overcome, but at the end it will be worth it.
