  1. That's correct it doesn't really matter if your wife haven't got the packet... If you can sent her the interview letter and everything that this has on (WHAT'S ON PACKET #4?????????????????????????) It will be helpful, you never know when she's gonna get it and she really needs the interview letter for the interview
  2. Dear Sir

My name Susan Khalid ,I am a US citizen live whole my life in IRAQ . I got my citizenship by born in Colorado in 1977 and I stay in USA just only two months and then back to IRAQ and stay in it till know and I had new passport type P valid to 2015 I renew it from US embassy in Jordan.

    This is my story:

I married in 23-Dec-2004 and I had one child (both my husband and daughter are IRAQI citizen).

The terrorist try to kill my husband because they know he is married a (US citizen) So I escape from Baghdad to Sulymainia north of IRAQ but I leave every thinkg in Baghdad (my house, my car).

I decide to travel to USA with my family ( My husband and My daughter),

but I see it must need a sponsor and I must fill the I-864 form!!!

But I'm not meet the minimum requirement of I-864 and I don't know any one in USA to be a joint sponsor or I can't go to USA without my daughter because her age is one year and half so she need alot of care.

  3. My fiance and I recently had a baby born in Tela on September 28 and we want to get his US citizenship and passport. Here is the situation as it stands. I have already submitted a I 129 F fiance visa which has been sent to the US embassy in Tegucigalpa.

I would like her to apply for the US citizenship and passport using the Affidavit of Paternity and Physical Presence form

    My questions are :

Does she need a appointment to apply for the US citizenship and passport for the baby?

Since I filed a I 129 F visa we are not married yet as the condition of this visa does not allow it. Is this going to be a problem?

How many years do I have show of Proof of Physical Presence in the United States using the 1040 income tax forms , bank statements and employment letter?

The child only has his two forms of Honduran birth certificate the short form and the Literal form as identification. Is this sufficient enough?

Notarized copy of my passport is this sufficient?

I would like for her to apply and obtain US citizenship and passport before she has her interview in sometime in January. The US embassy did fax me the FS 579 forms.

Has anybody gone through this process? I did send a e-mail to the San Pedro Sula US consulate with the same question.

  4. Hello All,

Hope everyone is well! I've been trying to search and to no avail my situation. Anyway, here it goes:

Wife (Peruvian) and I (American citizen) got married in Peru in May 2006. He recieved her CR-1 and upon entering the U.S., within 30 days recieved her S.S. number. Also, recieved her PERMANENT RESIDENT CARD (aka green card). Now then, on the card it says Resident since: 10/03/06 and expires 10/03/08. We are required to file a I-175 (please correct me if I'm wrong) for an adjustment of status (from temporary to permanent). The new RESIDENT CARD will apparently be valid for 10 years. Here's my question:

My wife and I plan on flying to Peru for Christmas and New Years and leave the 14th of December. Now, we are required to file a AOS 90 days BEFORE Oct 3. Since it takes so long for the new card to arrive, can I apply for it, say, next month (MAY instead of JULY) ??

    Hey, thanks again!

  5. Veroka you were in cleveland recently????!!!!!! :( :( :( We need to get together soon. We found another market here with TONS of peruvian stuff.

Wish we knew. Erika had to close Machu Picchu because of the construction. It was just impossible for her to get any customers down there. We were really upset when we found out.

Katherine and I just had our 1 year anniversary on the 20th. Ironically we were down in Columbus for it :P. Her sister came up on an exchange student work visa and is here for three months (leaves in march). That has been a really stressful time unfortunately, but we are working through it.

We are finally pretty settled into the house, still need to get some furniture, but everything is pretty much in place. I setup the new bed I finished building last night. Kathe is working full-time now and is really starting feel more "at home" now that she can be more self-sufficient with the job and driver's license. I can't wait until we get to go back to Peru, as we are currently planning for the first of May.

Glad to see all the new miniVJrs are doing good! Congrats everybody!
