I was hoping someone can provide guidance on my current situation.
I have a K1 visa issued (it’s currently in my passport) to enter the US. Unfortunately, me and my American fiancé have parted ways and we’ll no longer be marrying within the 90 days of my entry to the U.S.
To make things complicated, I have a work trip next week to the U.S. with a return flight booked. My main concern is that I’m going to have a hard time with CBP entering.
My previous ESTA is still valid until late 2025. I have contacted the Embassy to make them aware of the situation but doubt I will hear back by my flight next week. Please can someone provide any guidance on this unique situation? Mainly on these areas:
- Can I just enter on my valid ESTA and communicate to CBP to revoke the K1?
- Should I apply for a new ESTA?
- Should I just enter on the K1 and just not marry and go home after my trip?
