Visa Journey Update – Seeking Advice
My spouse’s visa case has been in administrative processing (AP) since late September 2024 after a successful interview, with no additional documents requested. When we reached out for updates, a representative mentioned that AP could take up to 180 days.
As we near that 180-day mark, I’m considering whether to file a Writ of Mandamus (WOM) if there’s still no movement. I know that AP timelines vary, but the uncertainty has been challenging.
For those who have been through a similar situation, did filing a WOM help move your case forward? Would you recommend waiting longer, or is filing right after 180 days a reasonable step?
