Hi everyone, I’m preparing my K-1 visa application and have a question about address history. I’d really appreciate your advice!
Here’s my situation:
I was in the U.S. on a J1 visa from 2022 to 2024.
Before my J1 ended, I applied for a change of status to B2 (tourist) while still in the U.S., and it was approved for 6 months. (Note: This was a change of status, not a new visa.)
In my change of status application, I mentioned that I would be staying with my boyfriend, but I referred to him as a ‘friend’ because, at the time, I wasn’t planning to marry him or adjust my status based on our relationship.
During my B2 stay, I lived with him in different places: 1 month in New Castle, WA; 1 week on a road trip while moving to California for his new job; 1 month in an Airbnb; and then in his new apartment.
My question is: Do I need to include all these temporary addresses on the DS-160 and I-129F? I’m worried because I didn’t report address changes during my B2 stay, and I’m not sure if these count as ‘residences.’
